Mercer Roof Terrace, located on the 7th floor of Vintry & Mercer, takes in the sweep of London’s skyline, from the dome of St Paul’s Cathedral to the glass tip of The Shard.

Outside, guests can enjoy an al fresco dining experience above the city lights in a partially covered settings with comfy blankets and overhead heating perfect for chilly evenings.

Inside, the atmosphere is warm and convivial, with floor-to-ceiling glass doors opening wide to the night’s sky.

You can enjoy a menu that celebrates the best of modern English cooking, showcasing farm-to-table meat, fish and seasonal vegetables cooked using our charcoal oven and our house infused craft cocktails displayed in colourful glass carafes on the bar.

    Our winter Cabins are back at Mercer Roof Terrace! On the top floor of Vintry & Mercer, takes in the sweep of London’s skyline, from the dome of St Paul’s Cathedral to the glass tip of The Shard. Here guests can dine al fresco above the city lights in a warm and convivial atmosphere. Our transparent cabins can accommodate from three up to four people offering a unique private dining experience under the night's sky. The setting is warm and cosy, with faux fur blankets, flickering candles and the twinkle of city lights all around – a magical way to spend an evening on a cold winter’s night. Bookings are available for up to 2.5 hours. 4 seating available: 12noon to 2.30pm 3pm to 5.30pm 6pm to 8.30pm 9pm to Close

    This was the perfect selection to have a solo birthday celebration. The food is amazing and so is the staff. Cute and quaint spot.

    Schlechter Service - Personal hat Stress gemacht mit den Gängen, nicht richtig abserviert, für 150 Pfund pro Person kann man ein ausgezeichnetes Service erwarten! Essen und Ambiente war gut.

    We had New Years Eve dinner. It was a Prix Price menu. We were disappointed with the food and service. It appears the staff and kitchen we're overwhelmed. We were seated quickly but had to wait a long time before we were acknowledged. Our table lacked light and we asked for our table's candle to be light. The candle was taken but never returned. The courses were delivered in quick succession and we never got the petifores. We were surprised at the poor quality of the food. We stayed at the hotel and found the breakfasts served in the morning to be excellent.

    The terrace is on 7th floor of a hotel, and a lovely guy in hotel reception gave us directions to lifts and thanked us for choosing the hotel which was very kind. Very warm greeting from lovely lady at restaurant reception. All the serving staff were lovely, we asked one of the team which balsamic vinegar was used and he went to get the bottle from the chef to show us - again, very kind. The view from the terrace is amazing - can see both shard and St Pauls. We were in the Igloo which is very special. The food we have was overall excellent - ham hock terrine, pork rib eye with eggs and ribeye steak all superb. Fish n chips was good but not on same level as the other dishes, but overall - the service, warm greetings, high quality food and excellent views = we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will be back

    For the price, we were disappointed with the food quality. Similarly, the cocktails were good but tiny for 15£, think juice glass with tons of ice. Also, the service was lacking. Our waiter had to be reminded to bring out water multiple times, he forgot a glass of wine, charged us for sparkling water that was never brought to the table, and was just generally inattentive.

    We were very disappointed. We had a much higher expectation for our Christmas dinner. The main course was poor; the cod was tasteless, the crab too lemony. I barely touched the food, the plate was nearly full when the waiter removed it. I thought he would have asked what was wrong, but he didn’t. The chocolate gateaux for dessert was a dark chocolate filled with mousse. Not the expected gateaux. Only after receiving the bill did they ask how dinner had been and could I express my disappointment. The view from the rooftop was also not what we had anticipated. From inside the restaurant no view over London. All in all not worth the money.
