   Had an enjoyable meal and Logan, our server, was very attentive. We chose restaurant as it offered 2 DF options (incl dessert). DF starters weren’t the most exciting (soup or salad) but at least there were 2. We would go again. Hubby (who’s not DF) enjoyed his haggis spring roll and venison haunch.

   The overall experience at merchants was 5 star. The food was delicious especially the hagis spring roll. The service was spot on Tucked away in a little corner of Edinburgh is this little gem. Well worth a visit if your looking for some fantastic food and drink.

   What a lovely venue the staff make you feel so welcome it's like your a guest in their living room my dog Fergus was supplied with a water bowl and treats on arrival:) The haggis spring roll was amazing great balance of flavours the main course of venison was beautifully plated and perfectly cooked. had the chocolate cremeux to finish very tasty with crunchy honeycomb. Would highly recommend 10/10

   Absolutely amazing, the atmosphere, the food, the service. All incredible. Between the 3 of us we ordered 3 different starters, 3 different mains and 3 different dessert - all looked delicious and everyone at the table thoroughly enjoyed their good, empty plates all around. Highly recommend this hidden gem.

   The menu was limited but that seems to have given the staff the right focus on the food they offered as it was absolutely amazing. The staff were very attentive too. Overall a great dining experience and will be rushing back the next time we’re in Edinburgh

   Food was very well presented and each element was well prepared and delicious. Particularly enjoyed the cod and haggis spring rolls. The staff were really great, made sure to keep our water topped up, and enjoyed friendly chat with our waiter. Atmosphere was lovely, music not too loud, lights not too dim.     We enjoyed a delicious dinner served by Loggan and Laura and cooked by Mark. An interesting well executed dinner, from a well chosen limited menu. Haggis spring roll followed by delicious beef loin medallion and shin pie Great wine selection too - an interesting Portugese red we look forward to returning to Edinburgh
