Located in the Warehouse District, Meril is Chef Emeril Lagasse’s lively restaurant in New Orleans. Meril’s casual restaurant interior is marked by a signature open style kitchen and a large bar area, featuring a varied wine selection and craft cocktails. Named after his daughter, the restaurant showcases some of Chef Emeril’s favorite dishes that he loves to eat, featuring everything from Wood Fired Flatbreads to Korean Chicken Wings. Lagasse brings his expertise and distinguished hospitality to Meril, creating a deliciously spirited dining experience.

        I've been here numerous times. Unfortunately, our service was not representative of the brand this time. About 12 mins had passed, then went back to the host to ask who our server may be. We had cocktailas already from the bar but were empty, ready for round 2... no offering for refill, just asked if we wanted water when he finally arrived at the table. We ordered everything at once, 7 small plates to share amongst 3 of us, and 1 person ordered salmon entrée. Salmon entrée arrived 1st, 10 mins later 4 out of 7 apps arrived, 2 were not what we ordered, then we finally got our water, Yay! Still haven't been offered another round of drinks..got offered dessert, and we are still missing 2 apps. We asked to cancel the 2 apps and he acted shocked that we had not received them, so we went somewhere else for cocktails and dessert. Hopefully, this was an isolated issue for whatever reason. Food quality, superb as always!

        Good food and service. Slightly detracted detracted by the EXTREME noise level that made conversation difficult. We were a 4 person table so were in a little closer range, but still was hard to hear friends or even the server.

        Very disappointing. Food arrived cold, flavors were lacking. Waited for 20 minutes to find a dish we ordered was not available. Have been here before this place has flopped.

        The restaurant is a great place and has a lovely atmosphere for dining. The front staff service was good, but the kitchen was unable to deliver. Our table of 9 took over 2 hours to receive all of our orders. Multiple apologies from management and staff. Kitchen was overwhelmed with demands of the evening which prompted this lower score.

        Go elsewhere. Acoustics are such that you cannot hear the person next to you. Service was hit and miss. Food was ok but you will leave belly and wallet less full. Food will arrive haphazardly and some at your table will be eating while others are waiting. You’ll be happier patronizing another establishment less focused on brand.

        Great meatballs and cornbread! We sat at the counter by the kitchen, so it was fun to watch!

        I am shocked at our experience at Meril. This was too bad to ignore. We had a party of 9 for dinner and the best item ordered was the flatbread. The blue-crab beignets tasted like flavorless hushpuppies. The deviled eggs were just like I make at home. If you charge $18 for 1.5 eggs, I expect them to taste so good that I will want a dozen more! Instead, this item left me feeling gullible for paying $18 for 1.5 eggs. The dumplings had such an awful flavor that the person who ordered them, did not eat more than 3 bites. And last, but certainly not least, $50 for a steak is a deal....but NOT this steak. I have seen thicker steaks in fajita dishes! The place is always packed and reviews were so good - all we could think was HOW? This was just such a let down that we had to laugh. We were literally laughing at each other for the amount of money we were about to pay for a table full of tiny servings of flavorless food. I would not have given it a second thought if just one, or maybe even two, dishes were underwhelming, but so many of us ordered different dishes and all agreed the experience was a drastic (and expensive) let down.

        It was very loud and had to keep asking for water. Wish there were more oysters in my oyster salad and more scallops than just four for the scallops special.
