   Food was excellent. Pricing was reasonable. Servers friendly and attentive. Didn’t really care for the auto gratuity to the kitchen staff without a heads up. Thats not typical and should be pointed out. That said my party of 5 was very satisfied overall.

   Had a great dining experience at Merrimans-John, our server, was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcomed. We arrived earlier than our intended reservation, and ended up enjoying Happy Hour before dinner! Excellent value and choices ! The smash burger, truffle fries, and Merrimans Mai Tai were excellent! Definitely will be back when we return to Honolulu!

   I’ve only been to Merriman’s in Maui. While the service was great, the food was good but not exceptional like in Maui. Also, no view. Hidden in city scape. Glad we tried it, but probably won’t be recommending to friends or family.

   The service is always outstanding. Everyone is well trained and very pleasant! The food is excellent and very pleasing to the palate! This is our “go to” restaurant!

   I was SO looking forward to Merriman’s O’ahu as we’ve been to two other Merriman’s - on Kona and Maui (and Monkeypod O’ahu). I’ve purchased the Merriman’s cookbook and have recommended the restaurants to everyone I know traveling to the islands. We had reservations and arrived slightly early. Several walk-ins were seated before us, which was fine. We weren’t in a rush at all. We were seated outside in a completely empty section out front just off the sidewalk. No o e asked if we preferred indoor or outdoor seating. Our waiter Mark O. rushed us through the entire experience, even asking my 17year old daughter if she was ready to order food while I was in the restroom. He never told us about the dinner specials, took the cocktail/drink menu when we ordered so I had to request to see it again for a drink with our meal. I asked for a recommendation between two menu items and he brushed it off like the question was an inconvenience. As we were finishing our meal, another couple was seated next to us. The same waiter told them all about the specials of the day, etc. Not sure why we didn’t receive the same service as other diners, but I was thoroughly disappointed. Maybe my expectations were too high. I’ll have a hard time recommending Merriman’s after this.

   Service is always wonderful at merrimans. Keoni was a great server and there were many others assisting. The food was very good, but I was a bit surprised at the price of the special dish I ordered. I guess I should have asked ahead of time. The outdoor seating was also very pleasant.

    We had the best meal that either of us can remember having in a long time! Delicious gourmet food tasty beyond belief. Excellent service. Pretty loud but not as loud as some Waikiki restaurants!
