The Metropolitan Grill. The moment you step into the Metropolitan Grill, you know you have entered a classic steakhouse. Guests enter through tall mahogany doors to be greeted by tuxedo clad Maitre D’s. Cuts of beef are showcased in a glass display in the front entryway. Framed photographs of celebrities, sports heroes and local politicians, all frequent visitors to The Met, line the walls.


At the Metropolitan Grill, the focus is on the Prime beef, American and Japanese Wagyu. Steaks are seared over the high heat of the “Iron Wood of the World,” imported mesquite charcoal, ensuring the most tender, juicy steaks available. Metropolitan Grill Chefs personally select each cut that is served to guests.


The Metropolitan Grill’s award-winning wine list showcases the definitive steakhouse selection of premium West Coast red wines, with special emphasis on Cabernets, Merlots and Meritage.

    For the most part, the food was great. We went there for a big birthday celebration, but did not feel it was “The Met” experience. We got free crab cakes for waiting 30-40 min after our designated reserved time slot. I would not order them again. Very fishy. The drinks were great but we definitely waited over 20-30 min to get em to the table. Sides were excellent and steaks cooked perfectly. Our server told us it was her 2nd day. Seems overwhelmed. Not recommended for a Saturday night.

    Our party of five friends celebrating a 50th birthday had a wonderful time. From the moment we arrived, the hostess was welcoming especially as we were late due to really bad traffic. They held our table and were very pleasant about it. We then got a great round bank table, had a great server who took care of us. The food was delicious-not only the steak, but the sides too-it was an excellent experience all the way around!

    Dan took real good care of us. Very attentive but not overbearing. Food came timely and was delicious. We know we will be paying high dollar for this restaurant but well worth it for special occasions

    One of the best steaks in town, no surprise there. I especially liked the baked potato with cheese sauce. Our after dinner drink in the bar was lovely.

    Old school steakhouse vibe with very attentive service. Food was delicious. The steak Was perfectly cooked to our specifications. Remember steakhouses are not inexpensive! But it was worth it.
