Mezzo Ristorante in Brookside is a small neighborhood trattoria. Inspired by the cuisines of Italy, Chef Daniel creates a beautiful seasonal & modern italian menu, featuring local produce, house made pastas, quality meats and fresh fish. Mezzo features weekly seafood, ravioli, drink specials for our customers to enjoy!

Mezzo offers indoor dining & on our heated enclosed patio for our customers to enjoy year round. Our bar opens Tuesday-Saturday n starting at 4:00 and serves beautifully handcrafted cocktails, mocktails, a notable wine list, craft beer & after dinner drinks.

Mezzo specializes in private events showers, graduation, birthdays, baptisms, anniversary parties which can be held in our private patio or restaurant. Look for our farmers market dinners, wine tasting events and wine dinners.

At Mezzo we invite you to relax, restore, dine & enjoy drinks with family and friends.

    Well, first of all, when I went to order my drink (Cadillac Margarita), it had three main ingredients and that was silver patron, Cointreau and Grand Marnier! They were out of all three of them! How can you be out of those three key ingredients in a nice restaurant? So then I opted for House tequila and she said they were out of that! Mind you, all I wanted was a clear silver tequila. It could be any brand, but they did not have any! So she gave me some thing that was a little golden and then I asked if she had triple sec instead of the Cointreau (same taste) and she said we’re out of that too!🤨 so this bartender Cheryl tried everything she could to accommodate me, but there wasn’t really any liquor that could make me even a regular margarita! Cheryl was very sweet and concocted something that was OK but not her fault at all! Then when she asked my husband what he wanted and he told her Jamison her eyes got huge and she said we’re out of that too! How can a restaurant not have Jamison whiskey? At that point I was ready to turn around and leave because my husband told her he didn’t want to drink at all. She asked about some other whiskeys and he said no I like Jamison!I asked him if he wanted to go to Market Tavern because they have all of the ingredients that we like and the food is much better there too! We opted to just eat because we had a reservation and that was a disaster! The service was good, but the food was horrible! This place has really gone downhill! My husband’s spaghetti with meat sauce tasted like Chef Boyardee! I am not kidding! If you compare it to Market Tavern, there is a bright red because they actually take fresh tomatoes and sauté them. The tomato sauce tasted like it came from a can! At this type of restaurant, I expect a lot better than what was given to my husband! I had chicken Parmesan and it was OK…again the tomato sauce was just like the sauce on my husband spaghetti! The polenta was just ok but not much of it! I☹️

    Every dish was delicious, and the host and our waiter were excellent. We look forward to our next outing to Mezzo!

    We had a lovely lunch. I always love that not only is the staff friendly but also everyone that goes there seems to know each other as well. It made for a very homey experience

    Amazing experience per usual. Been looking for Italian restaurants in the local area for a year, and this place always hits the mark and they have yet to miss. Creme Brulee is on par to my favorite restaurants in Maryland Sotto Sopra and Washington D.C. Filament Restorante.

    The service was perfect. My husband and I split four courses which were either shared from the center or plated separately in the kitchen. This made our meal a little different for the chef and server and it was all done perfectly. We had a leisurely dinner, nice conversation and great food. A stand out was the salmon special over pearl couscous. The fish had crispy skin and tender meat. I also thought the pricing was reasonable for the ambiance and quality. We will definitely be back.
