Title: Nice Vibes, Disappointing Carne Asada, but Great Service
My friends and I decided to try out this restaurant last night for a group of four. The ambiance was delightful, offering a nice vibe that made for a pleasant evening. However, the dining experience, unfortunately, didn’t fully live up to expectations, especially at the price point.
Our biggest issue was the carne asada. It came out luke warm and lacked any depth of flavor, which was quite disappointing. For the price, the quality should have been much better. Our waitress recognized the situation and seemed genuinely disappointed with the kitchen's performance. Her empathy and apology on behalf of the kitchen softened the blow.
On the brighter side, the sea bass ceviche was definitely the highlight of our meal. It was refreshing and stood out as the star dish. The lobster, although not authentic Puerto Nuevo style as my group often enjoys, still offered some enjoyable taste. The octopus was good as well, though perhaps only worth trying once. As for the quesabirria, it was decent but didn't leave a lasting impression as we've had better elsewhere.
This venue is more suited for a casual outing with friends, where one can enjoy some quick drinks and an appetizer. For those seeking a better food value experience, another location might be ideal for the main meal.
A shoutout to our waitress who was attentive and efficient enough to remove the carne asada orders from our bill. We greatly appreciated her understanding and quick response.
Overall, while there were some hits and misses with the food, the service was commendable and helpful, making our visit more palatable.
