Milk and Honey is a New Orleans themed Southern Brunch that features Award Winning Shrimp & Grits, Chicken & Waffles, RumChata French Toast and specializes in other slow cooked mouth-watering favorites. Trying to pass off “southern inspired” but the only thing southern was the biscuits. Over priced and the food was decent but service did not feel welcoming.

The service was poor and slow. The food was fair to poor. The salmon was dry and the kale was soggy.

Came in with a reservation, with the understanding it may be busy due to the new year. We waited 40+ minutes to be seated, once sat we were not given menus, water or even had a staff member acknowledge we were there. After waiting an additional 20 minutes for a waiter and having multiple waitstaff continuously walk past us my husband decided we will take our business elsewhere.

The waiter missed the mark. No utensils on the table, asked for hot water, paper, napkins, and extra sauce never received those items. The food was good.

Service was excellent and food a little over priced for portion but all pretty good … Drinks filled to the top and strong would recommend

Cajun pasta to shrimp was to die for. Granddaughter had waffles and chicken. She loved it.

This was our first time at Milk & Honey. We arrived before one of our party and were seated right away. Our food was decent. I enjoyed my fish sandwich. My husband thought his meal - the Traditional Breakfast - was just okay. It’s super expensive for what it is. The service was terrible. Even before our friend showed up and before we even had water, the server tried to take orders. It was weird. Once we were all there, the server came back. The server took our orders reasonably quickly, and he managed a refill in coffee (but not water), but he didn’t check on us otherwise. Getting the check took forever. The food was slow to arrive, and one of the orders wasn’t accurate. Perhaps most seriously, the heat wasn’t working in the restaurant, making the space really cold. With lots of great choices for food in DC, we won’t be back.

Only bad thing was that the heat wasn't on. There was a guy there fixing it, and the manager gave my table a heater because of my elderly parents. It was a wonderful fix. The server was absolutely wonderful, and she made my birthday memorable!!
