A British restaurant and bar, Millie’s Lounge serves classic dishes alongside a selection of English sparkling wines, craft ales and seasonal cocktails.

From Monday to Saturday, you can enjoy traditional afternoon tea, set amidst the Grand Banking Hall. Enjoy cakes, scones and a selection of sandwiches with a choice of tea.

Please be advised that that Poultry Street is Entry only and Princes Street Exit only. Bookings can't be made for only drinks. Registered guide dogs only are permitted in public areas or restaurant of The Ned. Children are welcome in the restaurant with last booking at 6pm; seated up to 8pm. We will try to accommodate pushchairs where possible but please be aware there may not be space at the table. If you would like to request a highchair or for further information please contact the restaurant directly.

Please note The Ned reserves the right to refuse or cancel any reservation either ahead or upon arrival.

Indulge in a festive twist on our traditional afternoon tea at Millie’s Lounge. Expect the classic finger sandwiches featuring flavours such as roast turkey, stuffing and cranberry sandwiches. Indulge in sweet treats such as ‘Santa Belly’ a tonka bean ganache with cranberry, or ‘Christmas Tree’ a speculoos sandwich with bitter chocolate cremeux. Great experience at Millie's Lounge. Beautiful location, delicious food and attentive service. Prices were reasonable for the location.

Service was pretty glum - no smiles. Ketchup ordered never arrived and they got coffee order wrong

Enjoyed food, drink and atmosphere. However. Was disappointed after being told we could have our tea at the end of our meal and champagne, we were then told there wasn’t enough time for it as they needed the table back. I had already asked for the tea 20mins before table needed but he must have made out he forgot then said we couldn’t have it!!! Afternoon tea….but no tea???!!!🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Love the NED and Millie’s restaurant bar. However this time porterhouse steak was over cooked and service sometimes a little slow but we had a good time. As there was a mess up on the food order they gave us a bottle of wine which was appreciated but at £168/head they had it well covered.

Good was good however service was not as good as expected. Delays to the main course however we were warned as we were waiting for the main course. Rushed at the end as they need the table for the next seating. They did take some money off the bill however still not the 5 star experience you expect from Millie’s at The Ned.

Food was incredible and couldn't fault anyone's starter or main course. Christmas cocktails delicious. Only let down was the service; very slow at taking our drink and food orders then having to wait for the bill after asking a couple times. I think they may have been short staffed but not ideal during Christmas season and the price you pay.

unfortunately it went from bad to worse we were 2 tables of 6 next to each other wrong bill, over charged, gave everyone wrong food not told 2 hours on table brought main out before we finished starter without even asking if we were ready gave desert menu at 9pm then said you need to be off table in 5 minutes. to top that off, on return from toilet i was stopped from returning to my table by a security staff who abruptly put his arm out to actually stop me walking!! worse night for my daughters 30th.
