With its unique setting perched atop a waterfall in Simsbury, Connecticut, Millwright’s invites guests to dine in the 17th century mill with acclaimed, James Beard nominated Chef Tyler Anderson and his team. Featuring daily-chosen farm ingredients, the freshest and most select product, proprietary cocktails, and exciting wine menu, Millwright’s offers a new experience to the Farmington Valley farm-to-table dining scene. The culinary team understands the impact of the highest-quality fresh ingredients. Millwright’s kitchen thrives on local ingredients – grown, raised, produced, foraged and prepared – whenever possible. They also take the farm-to-table concept one step further. Millwright’s has partnered with a farm that will grow most of its organic produce. The “Inspired New England” cuisine at Millwright’s pays homage to the land, to the flavor-rich quality of local, fresh ingredients and to the time-honored cooking techniques that enhance the natural goodness of those ingredients.

    My husband and I had a reservation and were seated right away on the bridge room, very nice. We were asked what kind of water we wanted for our table and told our server, Evelyn would be right over to take our order, which she did. She took our cocktail order and when they were served she took our dinner order. My husband had the foil gras mousse and I had the tapioca custard appetizer. For entrees he had the scallops and u had BBQ short rib. For dessert we shared the s’mores. Everything was excellent .

    The absolute perfect evening! Ron, our waiter was so thoughtful, so considerate and an amazing employee to help us through our wonderful chefs tasting menu! I cannot believe the amount of delicious food we got for such an affordable price and I was full for days! My favorite restaurant for many reasons and my last time there just drove that point home!

    It was our 38th wedding anniversary and the whole staff made it perfect. From the card on the table, to the special care from the wait staff and finishing with the most beautiful Happy Anniversary hand written in chocolate sauce on our desserts. Just fantastic!

    We have dined here two times now and each time the service and food have been incredible. Ron guided us through our chef’s tasting experience this most recent visit and was very attentive and friendly throughout the evening. The wine pairings went perfectly with each course. Our favorite dish was the scallops with pumpkin curry puree, oyster mushrooms, and farrotto. Highly recommend Millwright’s for special occasions as they always go above and beyond to make your evening enjoyable!
