With its unique setting perched atop a waterfall in Simsbury, Connecticut, Millwright’s invites guests to dine in the 17th century mill with acclaimed, James Beard nominated Chef Tyler Anderson and his team. Featuring daily-chosen farm ingredients, the freshest and most select product, proprietary cocktails, and exciting wine menu, Millwright’s offers a new experience to the Farmington Valley farm-to-table dining scene. The culinary team understands the impact of the highest-quality fresh ingredients. Millwright’s kitchen thrives on local ingredients – grown, raised, produced, foraged and prepared – whenever possible. They also take the farm-to-table concept one step further. Millwright’s has partnered with a farm that will grow most of its organic produce. The “Inspired New England” cuisine at Millwright’s pays homage to the land, to the flavor-rich quality of local, fresh ingredients and to the time-honored cooking techniques that enhance the natural goodness of those ingredients.

    Our family had a special dinner on a Saturday, enjoying something from every part of the menu (signature cocktails and mocktails; appetizers, entrees and desserts). Flavor galore. Our server, Lincoln, was attentive, made great suggestions and helped make it a perfect evening. The night was made extra special when a young couple a few tables away got engaged to the applause of all. In the car ride back to our house, the five of us each sang the praises of Millwrights. Top Shelf evening.

    Food preparation was second to none. The new "bridge section" of dining area was wonderful. Wait ataff was well trained and very pleasant.

    A great dining experience. We sat in the main dining room overlooking the waterfall. Excellent ambience. A bit noisy at times but quieted down as the night went on. Food and service were excellent as always.

    Millwright is one of the most special we’ve experienced in our lifetime. The food is perfect,as are the drinks and the service. If you can get Ron to serve you a great experience will be even better. Great for special occasions or if you just want to have a spectacular experience

    My husband and I had a reservation and were seated right away on the bridge room, very nice. We were asked what kind of water we wanted for our table and told our server, Evelyn would be right over to take our order, which she did. She took our cocktail order and when they were served she took our dinner order. My husband had the foil gras mousse and I had the tapioca custard appetizer. For entrees he had the scallops and u had BBQ short rib. For dessert we shared the s’mores. Everything was excellent .

    The absolute perfect evening! Ron, our waiter was so thoughtful, so considerate and an amazing employee to help us through our wonderful chefs tasting menu! I cannot believe the amount of delicious food we got for such an affordable price and I was full for days! My favorite restaurant for many reasons and my last time there just drove that point home!
