With its unique setting perched atop a waterfall in Simsbury, Connecticut, Millwright’s invites guests to dine in the 17th century mill with acclaimed, James Beard nominated Chef Tyler Anderson and his team. Featuring daily-chosen farm ingredients, the freshest and most select product, proprietary cocktails, and exciting wine menu, Millwright’s offers a new experience to the Farmington Valley farm-to-table dining scene. The culinary team understands the impact of the highest-quality fresh ingredients. Millwright’s kitchen thrives on local ingredients – grown, raised, produced, foraged and prepared – whenever possible. They also take the farm-to-table concept one step further. Millwright’s has partnered with a farm that will grow most of its organic produce. The “Inspired New England” cuisine at Millwright’s pays homage to the land, to the flavor-rich quality of local, fresh ingredients and to the time-honored cooking techniques that enhance the natural goodness of those ingredients.

    We went to Millwright’s for their New Year’s Eve dinner and it was a wonderful night with fantastic food! The staff were very accommodating, everything was served in a timely manner, and it was all delicious.

    A great experience as always. My wife and I have been here a few times and each time it is an amazing experience! The food, service and atmosphere are top notch!

    Millwright is without question serving the best food you can find in the state of Connecticut. The freshness of the seafood, the quality of the meats and the consistency along with the unique construction of the menu is superior in every way. The chef is a mad scientist creating dishes that would resemble a symphony orchestra of flavors on a plate. The service is top notch yet our waiter Ron absolutely went above and beyond his duties. His passion when describing the menu while bringing all the unique flavors to our table is out of this world. Millwright will eventually become a Michelin Star restaurant in the meantime this restaurant is serving happiness on a plate! This is fine dining period!

    Service excellent, oysters superb but would have liked the option to buy more than three. Salmon not fresh. Chocolate espresso cake tasted as though it was bought at a supermarket. Dinner was overpriced for quality received.

    great menu, great service; great views if you go by daylight though the evening lights set were pretty too (just can't make out river)

    Millwright’s was exceptional. From the service to the selection, it was the perfect way to end 2024 and begin the New Year. Cheers to being a one-of-a-kind dining experience that we will treasure forever.

    We have been to Millwrights many times over many years. Service level has declined. My wife’s salmon was not as advertised and not as usual and she didn’t finish it. The Chardonnay by the glass was awful and I know my wine. The wine list by the bottle for Chardonnay was either affordable for poor quality or overpriced for quality such as Kistler and Sea Smoke. Nothing in between. Always annoyed when bread is not offered at all (this time) or overpriced (since some restaurants now charge for everything).

     Price to portion ratio is way off! We were offered a free third dessert because we could not make up our mind per the server, we were then charged for the third dessert anyways despite him clearly telling us ‘ this one is on me ‘ also receive sparkling instead of Stillwater.  also my wife was asked multiple times if she wanted another the wine, she said yes, multiple times, but it was like the server could not remember that it even asked the first time. Beautiful historic location, ambience was great but the value to food, spotty service and tough parking situation…. Not sure if i will be back.

    Food was top shelf, chef Tyler does an outstanding job. Beautifully decorated for the holiday. A great New England vibe. Our server Ron was the best ever, very accommodating. I’d go back when we return for are next visit.
