Beautiful interior. Food was very good as well the Chicharrón & Guac was fantastic! Rated 4 stars rather than 5 due to a mix up with our order. The server made sure to rectify the mistake and offered a gesture to make up for the mistake. I am looking forward to coming back in April with some amazing women from my entrepreneur network.

It was good until we asked for coffee with our dessert and the server said that they are not serving coffee and me my girlfriends were so disappointed that they couldn’t brew coffee for us. We left early so we can find a coffee shop

Food was amazing but the service was definitely slow. It took about 10-15 minutes from when we were seated to when the server asked what we wanted to drink. Our first course came before our drinks did. We asked for things and never got them. Overall the experience was good with the food and whatnot but just not stellar.

To clarify - both myself and the friend I was with have worked in the restaurant. Reservation was for 5:30 - sat down right away woth only two other tables full (a two too and a larger party of maybe 7) Ordered a round of margaritas and Guacamole with chicharron as an appy. Had to flag our waitress down to order our mains (she seemed to be the only wait staff, which seems odd given that it was Taco Tuesday at a Mexican restaurant in the middle of a food festival. We also ordered another round of drinks at the same time. They arrived pretty quickly. Our food did not. For over an hour. Other food came out. To other tables. Tables who had been seated after ours, with more people, who had ordered after we did. They seemed to receive every hung, including dessert - before we did. So we flagged down the same waitress and asked when it would be coming out. She said “let me check” and walked away, and then came back and asked “ you ordered the ceviche, right?” to which we replied no we had ordered the Birria and Queso Tacos. She nodded and walked away. The chef who was prepping cold dishes at one end of the bar then brought out an order of ceviche - which we told her we didn’t order… And this is when we started to notice that something was going on with the staff. There was very clearly a communication issue, and that same plate of ceviche made its way to two other tables before finding its actual home. Our waitress then came back and said “your food should be out in 5-10 minutes” (at this point it was 7:05 - we had ordered at 6)…we never saw her again. She was still serving every other table, but never came back to ours. A woman we took for the manager eventually brought 2 of the 4 dishes we had ordered. The rest never showed. Nobody checked in after that. We had to interrupt the manager storming away from the pass and muttering to herself in order to get the bill. We paid and left and won’t be back.

Decor and ambiance is excellent. Staff really friendly. If you want to try something different then tacos (also have tacos) YYC Exp was a great opportunity to try new things. The appies are great and the drinks (a bit pricey) are interesting. Not another boring Mexican place.

Terrible service, very cramped and tight, food took over an hour to get out. The puplo(octopus) dish I thought I would try consisted of 3 small arms 3 tortillas and a few potatoes? I’m not sure what kind of meal that was or how you can honestly put a value on that of 45 dollars. Online pictures of your food don’t look anything like what I seen last night. Won’t be back to say the least.
