The ambience is great. I usually go here once a year during my yearly trip to Chicago. The menu was a bit different but still good.

Really good food and really friendly staff. I went on Thanksgiving so I didn’t expect much but it was spectacular. Beautiful decor, tasty drinks, and the focaccia!!!!

That was the best and most tender Octopus I've ever eaten in my life and I've been to 5 different countries and around 15 states so I've eaten it a few times. It was the best and a fraction of the cost of even back home in Oklahoma. In Tulsa, that meal would have ran $150 but my check was was a fraction of that. You should try it.

The food had a great presentation. However, it lacked flavor. My husband purchased the shrimp and grits and they were described as creamy. In contrast they came out on the plate and it looked like soup. We had a side of apple chicken sausage. The links tasted like they had been frozen to the point they were watered down. I had biscuits and gravy - they were actually decent. My daughter had an overcooked “buttermilk pancake”. This place definitely left a lot to be desired!

Our waiter recommended the house made focaccia. I’ve made enough focaccia to tell you that this was in a refrigerator somewhere and it was re-warmed. It was in a hot pan but some of the bread was cold and some of it was hot. It was thick dense And three times thicker than any other focaccia I’ve ever seen. I ordered the Crudo which lacked substantive flavor and was uninspiring. We ordered one of the pizzas undercooked and doughy. Considering it was supposed to be woodfired it should have been crisp and well done. There were children running up and down the main hallway in the restaurant under the age of four roughly 4 or five of them. I understand people need to eat with their kids but in a restaurant that charges us $162for three people without tip, That’s just not acceptable. I really wanted to like this place and not be so critical. My wife did enjoy her chicken dish which is why the restaurant got three stars overall and two stars for the food instead of one. This menu needs to be re-thought in terms of freshness, quality of ingredients and focus on presenting a fresh product to the customer not a re-warmed reheated partially cold lump of dough. Undercooked pizza is unacceptable at this price point. Sorry to say we won’t be back and I think that the star review is generous.
