Mister Coppin is a café in thriving Richmond. The name originates from George Seth Coppin who was a comic actor, entrepreneur, and politician, who was born in Sussex, England, and moved to Australia in search of other opportunities.

He made his reputation in Australia as an actor, however, he was also a comedian. In his later years, he began to take an interest in public affairs, where he became a councilor in the Richmond municipality. Today, Mister Coppin’s heritage lives on in the naming of Coppin Street, Richmond as well as this café.
