Mita's is the second restaurant from James Beard Finalist Chef Jose Salazar and is named after his Colombian grandmother - his "Mita." The beautiful 130 seat restaurant designed by MSA Architects is located in the heart of downtown Cincinnati at the corner of Fifth and Race Streets on the ground floor of the 84.51 Building. Mita's eclectic, farm inspired tapas menu focuses on both the traditional and modern foods and beverages of Spain and Latin America, with charcuterie, ceviches, and paella.

    Join us at Mita's for a collaborative dining experience featuring Michelin Starred Chef Johnny Curiel, James Beard Nominated Chef Jorge Guzman, and Chef Jose Salazar & the Mita's Team! On Monday, March 31st, experience the vibrancy of Mexican cuisine through the distinctive perspectives of three celebrated chefs with a meticulously crafted five course tasting menu with wine pairings. The evening begins at 5:30pm with a cocktail reception featuring passed canapés, followed by a seated dinner at 6:30pm. Throughout the night, you'll have the unique opportunity to meet each chef as they present their dishes and share the stories and inspirations behind their creations. Seating is extremely limited for this one-night-only event. Price is $175 per person (exclusive of tax and gratuity).     The food is always distinctive and great. Bravo. We greatly enjoyed grilled pimentos shisito peppers, yucca rolls with salsa, jicama mango lime salad, fish stew. The empanadas were good. The service was friendly, but a little slower than normal. Enjoy.

    Fantastic dinner with friends. Everything was perfect & not rushed. We think the waiter was Jake & he was really excellent! From dietary restrictions to the pace of the meal, he just did a superb job!

    We were in Cincinnati for a long weekend from NYC and this place did not disappoint. Reminded us of some of the better places we dined in back home. From the decor to the service and food all of it was excellent. The paella was definitely worth the wait, just make sure to let the server know if you have some place to be like a show or what not. The crab tapas was also out of this world. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Cincinnati!

    Mita's brings you an inspiring and welcoming experience to try new and exciting flavors along with some of the classic eats that we love, a shareable plate for every palate. Chef Jose Salazar has curated each dish to a level where you can taste the thoughtfulness, creativity, and excellence in every bite. The food is remarkable but so is the beautifully designed restaurant itself, modern, open and bright, with bold Spanish colors, and complimentary patterns throughout. The staff is outstanding, and the service is superior. Highly recommend to locals and visitors for any and all occasions.
