A local favorite, Miyo’s Restaurant has served the Hilo area since 1987. Under the direction of it's owner, Louis Pauole, Miyo's Restaurant serves up homestyle Japanese food using quality ingredients and it's beloved recipes created by Miyo herself!

Come and enjoy entrees such as Hot Pots, Curry, Teriyaki, Tempura, Seafood and much more! While you're awaiting your delicious meal, you can also sip on a handcrafted cocktail made by our talented bartenders from our Izakaya Bar - Hilo's newest hot spot! With a full bar, 15 beers on tap, an exclusive evening tapas menu and a cozy, rustic atmosphere, there's something for everyone!

In general everyone is nice and works hard to be sure we are getting the best service and our food is hot when it get to you . Hi top bar worker (who makes the sushi greets us by our name you don’t see that in other restaurants. Sorry Brother I don’t remember his name 🫢 we always have a great experience, even if we came in crumbling with each other we always enjoy our selfs at the end of the night . Thanks to everyone who always makes our visit returnable.

Excellent food, friendly and efficient servers, and great ambiance! At the suggestion of my server, I ordered the sautéed ahi with eggplant, which was excellent… very fresh, flavorful and attractively plated. For dessert, I had the mango guava cheesecake, which was amazing! The restaurant also offers a wide selection of craft beers. I will definitely return, the next time I’m in Hilo!

While the hostess was not the friendliest when we arrived, our server Grace was phenomenal and went completely above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed! The food and ambiance were fantastic and I would highly recommend the restaurant to anyone!

Disappointing evening there. I had the nights special miso butterfish. One of the most expensive items on the menu. It was very salty and mushy. I should have had a spoon to eat it. Service was good. Nice hard working waitress

We were seated promptly. Our order was taken shortly after seating. I was pleasantly surprised that our food came out quite quickly. I was expecting a long wait like we usually experience. Our server was excellent and personable.

One of the best restaurants in Hilo. Itʻs consistently great. I have never had a bad experience here. Service is always attentive and food comes out fairly quickly for how busy it usually is. We also love that they stock the local Topical Dream ice cream flavors. They also include some really good local ingredients in the menu, like the Hamakua mushrooms, which are always great! We've gone there for celebrations as well as casual dinners. It really is a staple Hilo restaurant.
