Since 1997, Modavie Bistro invites you to taste a varied menu inspired by French classics. Spawning two floors with vintage ambiance in the heart of Old Montreal, you can hear live bands play every night as well as during weekend brunch.

    Street parking is available in limited quantities. Please be wary of all parking limitations indicated. Street parking costs $3 per hour between the hours of 9am to 9pm Monday through Friday. On Saturdays, street parking must be paid from 9am until 6pm, and on Sundays from 1pm until 6pm. Outside of these times, permitted street parking is free.

    The Bistro Modavie is located an 8-minute walk from the Place d'Armes metro station. Modavie will be at the corner of Saint-Laurent and Saint-Paul Ouest. The entrance is on Saint-Paul Ouest at the first address.

    The food was very good. My son had the salmon and I was worried that he wouldn’t like it because it might be dry. It’s also weird for a 13 year old to order salmon right? Anyway, he loved it. I was impressed. My wife ordered the pasta of the day or something like that. It had foie gras, truffle mixed in a cream sauce with duck. Crazy good. Burger was ok. Little over done. The place is pricey but the ambiance makes up for it. The wine cellar and bar look awesome.

    The seafood linguine was not good. the scallops were great, but the shrimp tasted of nothing and the pasta sauce was loaded with oregano to the point that it was the only thing I could taste. The creme brulee was thick and possibly overcooked. Not a nice texture.

    Went to celebrate our 5th Wedding Anniversary and we enjoyed it a lot! My husband is an introvert and he was really impressed and liked the ambiance especially with the live band. The food was superb! Definitely one of our fave restaurant now ♥️

    The Filet Mignon was the most average, basic and bland meal I have ever had in my life. The ambience was average. The Jazz music was also average. Prices are extremely high for the overall experience offered. This place is just a tourist trap.

    Had a very enjoyable time with my wife this evening. Live music of smooth Jazz. Food was delicious and service was excellent. Was not felt rushed to leave. Highly recommend it.
