    Modena, is delighted to announce an exclusive four-course wine dinner celebrating the diverse and delightful cuisine and wine from Fruili-Venezia. Executive Chef Josh Hunt has curated a menu that highlights traditions along with exciting flavors and ingredients; each course paired with some of the best wines from one of Italy's most dynamic wine regions by our Wine Director Nathan Cuthrell. Date: Friday, January 17th, 2024 Time: 7:15pm Location: Modena, 1100 New York Ave NW [entrance on corner of 12th St & H St.]. Valet Parking Available. Price: $145 per person [includes food and wine; does not include tax or 20% gratuity] Limited seating is available, so guests are encouraged to book early to secure their spot at this exclusive event.

    Our service was excellent. When we asked about the wine by the glass, he had the sommelier come to discuss the choices which was super helpful. Our dinners were excellent, both the appetizers and the mains. Their brodetto is one of the best dishes we’ve experienced in DC.

    Lovely ambience and we loved the server, Antonio. The gem salad was delicious and the gnocchi was good except that it was drowning in the pesto sauce. The whole wheat focaccia was sliced way too thickly and cakey in texture. Very small wine pour for the money.

    The food was fantastic. You could tell everything was made fresh and extremely authentic. The flavors were out of this world. The staff was extremely familiar with the menu, and had spot on recommendations. This is the best Italian food in the District.

    We had a lovely meal at Modena. The service was gracious and efficient.. I had asked in advance for tortellinii al brodo, which is not on the menu these days, and the chef agreed to make it. I had it as my main course, and it was wonderful. My first course was fried artichokes. They were tasty but heavy because covered with a fried breading. Actually, the artichokes weren't crisp, it was the breading that was crisp. I prefer the fried artichokes the way I've had them in Rome, that is, without breading and the artichokes themselves fried.
