Hosted a conference in Calgary and we provided our attendees with 15% off certificates to Modern. A few people complained about slow service but our experience was the service was great. The food is good but nothing special - I travel a lot and steak places are a typical choice. It's a nice place and a great location but I'm guessing there should be better options for really good food.

Overall it was a great night. Food came out slow but they were slammed all at once and the waiter Sunny proved to be a real professional. Without any complaints made about the slow service he took it upon himself to have one of our bottles of wine Comped for the wait. Excellent place to dine at, I highly recommend it.

I was looking for a uniquely Calgarian beef steak experience. Excellent meal and service. I was hoping to learn about different types of beef and preparation of the meal chosen so if you have a chance, read the details in the menu. Regardless it was excellent.

Très bon restaurant, nous étions ravis de l’avoir choisi. Notre serveuse, Marlee a été très attentionnée et nous a offert d’excellents conseils. Nous sommes de Montréal alors peut-être que nous n’aurons pas la chance d’y retourner mais on le recommande. Délicate attention pour mon anniversaire, une jolie carte de souhaits.

Service on the rooftop was terrible. My burger had a weird taste and I told the waiter, he took my plate, tastes the meat and said it’s fine. Never in my life have I seen a waiter do that. Service was so slow and we kept having to ask them to come over.
