Welcome to Moonraker at Pendry Washington DC – The Wharf, a signature rooftop hideaway with a Japanese inspired menu of light bites and sushi alongside handcrafted cocktails, a curated selection of Japanese whiskeys, and more. All set around a stunning central bar boasting panoramic views of the waterfront. A laidback lounge by day evolves into a buzzy nightlife scene alongside a handsome bar that sets the scene for intimate soirées and nighttime meet ups, all by the Potomac.

Introducing Capitol Brunch. Meet us at Moonraker for an all-new weekend brunch menu, featuring everything from bottomless brunch cocktails to Japanese-infused breakfast classics.

Please note the following for your reservation:
Reservations are limited to (2) Hour Dine Times.
Our Culinary Offerings conclude at 10:00 PM weekdays, and 11:00 PM weekends.
Moonraker does not have a dress code but does recommend appropriate casual wear.

    Meet us at our rooftop hideaway for an intimate sushi making class led by Moonraker’s very own, Chef Marcia Lozada. Guests will be welcomed with sake to start, then will be guided through the step-by-step process of making a Veggie Roll, Tuna Maki, and Sunonomo (Japanese Cucumber Salad). The class will conclude on a sweet note with instruction on how to put the finishing touches on Moonraker’s famed Profiteroles. 21+ event. Enjoy some of the best spring views in the city on the sweeping outdoor patio overlooking the Tidal Basin and Hains Point while you sip on a Sakura-inspired welcome cocktail and are guided through a 2-hour-long painting class. Sip and Savor seasonal specials as well as Moonraker's full a la carte menu. Limited Reservations available. 21+ event.     Our group enjoyed drinks out by the fire pit. Honestly one of the best rooftop views in all DC. Highly recommended especially for friends that are visiting the area.

    Met with friends for drinks and appetizers. It was a cold night in DC so we sat inside at the low standard table by the large window. It had a great view of the Wharf. The staff was courteous and available. On this night the bar was a little slower with drinks and the wait wasn’t long (our server also notified us in advance). The dumpling appetizer and crab roll were good (I thought the dumplings were a little dry and weren’t presented with any dipping sauce). Easy to make a reservation on OpenTable. Overall a chill nice vibe for drinks and appetizers.

    Moonraker was a perfect place for us to celebrate our elopement. I mentioned this in my notes and our view was perfection, complementary champagne and the food and service were amazing!

    Service was HORRIBLE. They said they were understaffed but we waited almost an hour for some sushi rolls. I went for my bday and was HIGHLY disappointed. There was a table next to us with a screaming baby. They were out of the dishes that we wanted to order. The water for the tea smelled and tasted like mildew. Sushi came out with no wasabi, finer or soy sauce. The waiter barely came back to check on us. We had to keep waiting and asking for him. And it’s OVER PRICED. I had to talk to the manager at the end of the meal and he comped our drinks but… honestly for that level of service, the whole meal should have been free. Never again. Won’t be going back. I valeted my car because parking in that area is terrible. Valet was $60 with tip!! And the restaurant doesn’t not validate parking. Very mad that I chose that restaurant for my bday dinner.

    Overrated and overpriced culinary experience. I have no doubt that the appeal of the restaurant has much to do with its penthouse location as it offers a breathtaking view of the potomac. Unfortunately when it pours like it did during our visit, we had to dine inside the bar area and were confined to a tiny corner table with very limited space. Despite having made reservations a little under 2 weeks in advance we were initially offered a table in a high traffic area until we requested to switch. We noticed during our visit that at least 4 couples declined to sit at that table due to its location. Kudos to our wonderful waiter for doing a great job explaining the menu.

    View is nice a staff are nice but the drinks and food are ridiculously overpriced. Drinks terrible food terrible blasting muzak over the speakers. It was a rip off will never go back and cannot recommend.

    Our waitress was extremely nice .. view was FABULOUS !!! It’s a must while in DC .. it win the Wharf district so great views .. Thk you very much !! 😎😎
