I hate giving bad reviews. I usually don’t say anything, but this experience was just so sad that I have to share.
This restaurant is currently in a pop up location. Google search will bring you to their old brick and mortar location so beware. I knew I should’ve canceled when I was requested to place a hold on my card for late cancellation.
Their current location for their pop up is way too dark to read a menu. I understand ambience, but using a phone flash light to read menu is ridiculous. The server we had wasn’t very attentive and couldn’t even suggest beverages(wines). I don’t want an overly fake server, just someone that has eyes for their guest and can suggest a beverage perhaps. We had to flag this server 3 times to pay.
We ordered the oysters, radicchio salad and the tartare for starters. Oysters were served warm and left a bad taste in our mouth through out the meal. The radicchio salad was good and gave me hope. Tartare is covered with some dry crushed herbs which wasn’t good but it wasn’t horrible. Just had an overwhelming flavor what seemed to be like Matcha.
Our entree duck confit was burned. Like burnt I think I got 2 bites off of the duck that was charred. My husband got the pappardelle, it didn’t lack spice but did lack other flavors like salt. All the food was served room temp. Which is alarming, because it’s an open kitchen concept and I really don’t think they were cooking in there.
This dining experience was so sad we didn’t even finish our bottle of champagne.
Definitely would not suggest. Really was excited to have a great farm to table experience, but this was not it.
