An intimate and beautiful family-owned Mornington Peninsula winery and restaurant with vineyard views in the heart of premium wine country. Wine and olive oil grown on site, served with Italian-inspired share plates. Sunny terrace in fine weather, cosy cellar room when it’s cold. Estate wines and barbecued quail are specialties. Lunch dishes change seasonally, estate-grown wine tasting all year round.

    Join us for a tutored tasting and guided walk through the glorious and very private estate at Morning Sun. Our deep dive into the terroir of this valley nestled in the Mornington Peninsula hills begins with an estate-grown sparkling wine on the terrace at Morning Sun and a meeting with your guide. We then take a gentle walk along the vine rows and have an in-depth personalised talk about the growth you see along the way. Taste the wines at your private table among the vines, then return to the winery.

    Morning Sun takes a spectacular Spanish turn for this special chef’s lunch showcasing Bernard McCarthy’s love of the food of Spain. Join Bernard on the vine-draped terrace, watch him work the paella pan like the pro he truly is and pick up some tips for paella at home. The full feast is $80 per head and includes your matched wines selected by Tony Lee.

    Wonderful variety of food. Dessert was the clear highlight with honeycomb to finish off. View was tremendous and service staff were great with helpful tastings of the wine to decide what to have and piazza style seating was fantastic

    First time having a meal here, and the Feed Me menu option was outstanding! Service was fantastic, staff were very friendly and attentive. Food came out promptly, and regularly through every course and we thought that the quality and flavours were of a very high quality. One of our best meals we've had in a long time. We certainly recommend it, and will be back soon! 🙂

    Morning Sun restaurant is the sister restaurant to a favorite of ours - Foxies in Whitehill Road. WE have been going to Foxies for years and although we still love it, it is great to have a 2nd option. Again, they have a set grazing menu which is full of fabulous dishes, all different from Foxies but just as full of flavour and deliciousness.... And you can book.... We will be back soon!

    A beautiful setting for lunch, we sat outside on the deck, it was lovely. The service was amazing. Could not fault a thing. We got the $55 per person menu where you get tastings of everything. They are small serves, but don’t worry, you’ll be very comfortably satisfied by the end. The wine is also wonderful. Highly recommend an afternoon here !
