Opened in 1974 by world famous restaurateur Michael Chow. MR CHOW started in London in 1968 and continues to enjoy generations of devoted clients from art, fashion, music, and entertainment. Art, celebrity and superb cuisine all blend together in this stylish restaurant in the heart of Beverly Hills, it has always been an institution for Hollywood’s biggest stars and its loyal clients.
The American Academy of Hospitality Sciences recently awarded MR CHOW the 5 Star Diamond Award for excellence, service, and cuisine. Our Executive Chefs are one of most respected chefs in Chinese cuisine. MR CHOW is a combination of old authentic Beijing and Original Recipes. Chicken Satay, MR CHOW Noodles and Ma Mignon all were created by our passionate and skillful chefs. Also on the Menu is one of the best prepared Beijing Duck in the world.

The food was overpriced, and the taste was subpar. I'm not a person who cooks, but I can say I may cook a bit better, that bring said I that the food was not good. Additionally, the server did not explain the dishes properly; if he had, I would have ordered differently. He also didn't check in on us to see if we needed anything, such as refills or if we wanted to place another order. Our bill was over $400 without alcohol for two people, which felt astronomical and absolutely not worth it. If we had received better service, I might have been able to justify the cost.

We arrived at 7:10 pm for our 7:15 reservation but had to stand and wait for 30 minutes before we were finally seated at 7:45 pm with not so much as a “thank you for your patience”, etc. We then waited another 15 minutes until someone finally came to our table. We asked for menus and then waited another 10 minutes before they were brought over. In sum, everyone in our party felt like we were treated as an after thought—which we were. To pay $600 for such an experience is simply not right.

Outstanding service by the experienced staff. Very nice staff. Efficient, friendly, food comes fast. Excellent quality food. Chefs accommodated food allergy and were very thoughtful towards us. Best seat in the house and everything we heard about the restaurant exceeded expectations. Thank you, Anita Marshall (Bell)
