Opened in 2006 by world famous restaurateur Michael Chow, most recently awarded the 5 Star Diamond Award by the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences for its excellence, service, and cuisine this is the second post to the original in NYC on 57th Street. Mr Chow's latest & hippest location is surrounded by a Patio & the attractive bar opens at 5:00PM daily.
NY Magazine wrote in 2006 "To eat at a Mr Chow restaurant is to participate in a roving party, one that has migrated through four decades, three continents, & an awful lot of soup dumplings."
TriBeCa's Executive Chef Kwok Hor, is a highly respected professional in the Chinese Cuisine Industry & has given many lectures at The Hong Kong Culinary Association.
MR CHOW's menu is a combination of old authentic Beijing, Original Recipes, Chicken Satay, MR CHOW Noodles & Ma Mignon all were created by our passionate & skillful chefs. Also, on the Menu is one of the best prepared Beijing Duck in the world.

Awful experience. Since we were the only two guests having dinner (the restaurant was empty) the waiters were all the time of the dinner circling our table, making us uncomfortable because they were clearly trying to make us finish dinner the faster possible in order to go home. If I am a client having dinner and I am paying for it you have no right to make me eat in a rush. They were literally staring at us all the time. We dined in an hour and left because of the situation of distress. Never again. Ps : the food wasn’t event good and we spent 300$

I tried the best noodles of my life. Everything I tasted on the menu was an incredibly yummy experience. Also, the service is outstanding. It made my trip to NY unforgettable!

The service staff awkwardly hovered over our table while not busy. We ordered the Ma Mignon, medium well, and it came out rare in the middle, still bleeding. Additionally, it came out about ten minutes after our other main dishes, and when our server dropped the plates, he didn't even explain that our mignon would be out momentarily. When I informed the server that the mignon wasn't prepared to the temperature I requested, he and the servers and manager stood right in front of us and talked about my complaint. The atmosphere was uncomfortable, and we were treated unprofessionally.

Jammed next to large tables of screaming children. Drinks were forgotten, food was good not excellent for the price., that was the tiniest portion of sweet and sour pork I have ever seen in my life.

Food is still quite good, but not as good as in days gone by. Service is beyond excellent. It is extremely pricey ($1200 for 6 people -- only 3 drinking alcohol - and barely 2 drinks each - no wine). Loud but not unbearable. Still would go just for the chicken satay, or candied beef.
