This was my third time - the first two experiences were downright divine - especially noteworthy being their amazingly delicious lamb chops which they famously marinate over several hours and in multiple different stages & spices. The first two times I’d dined here with my kids. This time it was with my wife. This third experience - they just got a Michelin recognition, we learned - was suboptimal & deeply disappointing. The lamb chops were chewy & very ordinary and struggled to reach mediocrity. While the lamb chops on both previous occasions were tender, juicy and melted in the mouth due to their extensive marination - the ones this time were stubborn & hardy souls and refused to become tender, let alone juicy & tasty !! We returned them although the manager was gracious and didn’t charge us for them. The rest of the fare was similarly ordinary. The service was spotty - one of the servers tried to prematurely take away our plates until we told him we were still working on our dinner !! Another came by and left about 5-6 serving spoons on our table leaving us wondering what we were to do with that many serving spoons !? I’m disappointed for sure but am struggling to understand what happened to this place. Was it the Michelin recognition?

We had an early Thanksgiving celebration with my brother-in-law at Musaafer's. We had eaten there before but everything seemed even better this time than before. For appetizers, we had Mithu's Coriander Shrimp, Seekh Kebab (beef), and Shammi Kebab. For the main dish, we had Butter Chicken Experience and Rizala Lamb Chops (my favorite). We also had basmati rice, garlic naan, and tandoori roti. And if that wasn't enough, we had 2 wonderful desserts that were beautifully presented. Everything was tasty, the ambiance was stunning yet quiet, and we will be back again, for sure. The waitstaff was great!

My wife and I went to Mussafer for dinner with friends and had a great time. The food was great, the drinks creative and tasty, and the service was outstanding. Our server Ever, did a great job making recommendations and he helped make the experience noteworthy. If in Houston, we highly recommend.

One of the best restaurants in Houston. Hands down. Outstanding food. Worth of a second Michelin star in my opinion. Will come back.

It’s fine dining in a palace! The food was amazingly flavorful, and the presentation was surprisingly creative. The wait staff was so knowledgeable and patient. Definitely will come back soon…
