Two chefs of The Spice Route Co. were sent on this ambitious task of traveling 29 states of India; gathering stories and experiences along the way and bringing home age-old regional recipes, which have been translated into our eclectic menu. You’ll find Musaafer in Houston in the Galleria shopping complex, close to the city’s lively business district. The elegant two-story space with sweeping windows offers a luxurious and memorable dining experience. Our anniversary celebration was exceptional! We visited with our family. Cedric, our server was excellent with suggestions for drinks and food. We enjoyed every dish that we had as well as the drinks. The different take on the traditional dishes without changing their essence was very refreshing to us as Indians. I do think it's a bit pricey for food that we as Indians can make at home, but overall, I recommend the restaurant highly especially for special occasions and celebrations. The ambience and the service along with the food presentation make it a great experience.

Normally, if I order a tasting menu at a restaurant, I feel like I have seen all the restaurant has to offer, at least for that season. It is satisfying, but I am not looking to go back next week because I have seen it all. Yet, our tasting menu experience only made us want to go back and explore more of the regular menu. I kept looking at other tables in awe of their dishes, too. And well, who could pass on butter chicken. So dinner was perfect, and there is still much to be explored.

Musaafer is a whole experience. It celebrates dining and the food in the best way. The ambiance and decor is beautiful and gives a energetic and cultural vibe. The service is top notch, each staff we were in contact with was professional and courteous. One thing that stood out is the way they explained the menu and food. The most impressive of all was the presentation, the taste and quality of the food. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience at Musaafer. Well done in many ways. Congratulations to them on their Michelin star, it is well deserved!
