At MYMA, we bring the heart of Japan to East London. Led by Chef Alex Ghețău, we offer a cozy, modern atmosphere where traditional Sushi and comforting Ramen are our signature dishes. Inspired by the harmonious balance of Japanese culture, MYMA is more than a dining destination—it's an experience of warmth, care, and hospitality.

Our name holds special meaning: "MA" in Japanese reflects "space," symbolizing our commitment to creating an inclusive, inviting environment. Additionally, in Irish, “MYMA” means “the person you love the most,” and in Indian traditions, "MA" represents “mother,” the embodiment of love and care. This fusion of meanings underscores our mission to provide a space where everyone feels cherished.

Located near Canning Town in East London, MYMA is the perfect place to enjoy authentic Japanese flavors with a modern twist.

Came for my wife's birthday with our 18 Month old daughter and was very happy with the warm welcome we received. Highchair was put in place ready and even a space was cleared for us to keep the pram . Having worked at the top end of hospitality for many years now; we felt the food was very fresh, well thought out (especially the flavours) and presented with care. The service were very professional,polite and tried to go above and beyond wherever it could . The atmosphere wasn't too loud where we had to shout to be heard neither too quiet for our little one to disturb the other guests. All in all a very good evening and we are looking forward to the next bit of free time we have to go again, but don't just take our word for it and visit you'll understand what we mean.

Fantastic dinner on valentine's day at MyMa. Even with a full dining room the food came out quick and very fresh. The tempura vegetables were delicious and crispy in the batter and had a great selection of vegetables. The tofu ramen was spectacular. The broth alone was stand out before you even get to the fresh noodles and perfectly seasoned tofu. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. They floated round the dining room always being available but never getting in the way. The general atmosphere of the dining room was relaxed and casual never feeling packed in despite the size. Everyone in the room was clearly enjoying the food and the evening. Already can't wait to go back again
