DeeDee Niyomkul, award-winning Chef/Owner of Tuk Tuk Thai Food Loft continues her parents' (Charlie & Nan Niyomkul) legacy with Nan Thai Buckhead, creating innovative traditional Thai cuisine using modern methods that convey the essence and soul of Thailand in every bite.
Chef DeeDee's menu is meticulously crafted to provide a creative interplay of Thai tastes and textures, leading the diner on a gourmet tour of traditional Thai foods inspired by her upbringing.
Nan Thai Buckhead is DeeDee's homage to her parents, and will feature many favorites such as Kai Siam, Lamb Hung Lay, and Crispy Red Snapper - as well as her own signature dishes like Octopus Lemongrass Salad & Wagyu Beef Cheeks in Panang Curry.

    This place is a must. The cuisine is so refined and even the decor is sublime. This was my first time at the Buckhead location and I'll definitely return

    New Year's Eve. A special prix fixe menu was promised. 2 days before they called to say they would only be offering the regular menu and we confirmed. Okay... They then called in the afternoon of 12/31 to say that if we were a no show, we would be charged $50pp. We arrive and are seated in Outer Mongolia by the valet parking with headlights shining in our eyes every minute. No atmosphere. So far, we are not feeling welcome! Service was helpful, although our server did not know the price of the specials. Menu was very short. Cocktail was good and the wine list pedestrian (Kim Crawford for example). Lobster soup portion very small, duck entree was delicious. Fine dining restaurant prices. Overall, suitable if you want a quick meal and expense is no object. Will not be back.

    Delicious food. Great ambiance. Wonderful service. We enjoyed a nice NYE dinner. Beware that booking in OpenTable only gives you the option for a high top table. We were not aware of that until we showed up. Granted, we had no issues with that but others may. We also realized we booked this accidentally. We were attempting to book at the Midtown location but realized too late that it was the Buckhead location. We didn’t even know there was a Buckhead location so it was a pleasant surprise to try out the new restaurant. The area is nice. Valet parking was the easiest. On a nicer day, it would probably be nice to walk around the area after dinner.

    Am an experienced Thai food fan. The food was high quality and well prepared. However I felt they went overboard trying to create unusual combinations that in the end did not resemble authentic Thai food. Short ribs in green curry? Lobster in pad Thai? Quite pricey too.

    Never again. We went there on Christmas Eve for Dinner. We have been faithful customers for over 15 years. We went there with a reservation for 4 people but only 3 people came.(a late cancellation). We spent over $300 that night. Upon checking my bank statement I noticed 2 bank charges fromt the restaurant. One for our dinner and another for $50. I called the restaurant for an explanation, the manager said it was for not notifying them of reservation change within 48 hours. Ridiculous & unethical. They would not refund, manager was dismissive and insulting in his explanation how I cost them lost of revenue.
