Narrative offers storied food and drink under the direction of our Executive Chef, Charles Albright. His modern American menu features global flavors, shareable plates, and a daily robust happy hour! An upscale cocktail menu and wine library with over 1,500 bottles and 250+ labels await your selection.                                                       It was a bad night at a place that has been one of our favorites for years. Food I often order did not taste the same. New chef?? Almost no one there but still very slow service. Wine list by the glass had totally changed. Didn’t recognize many of them. I hope it was a one-off.

                                                      Great food, great service. In our party of six, we each tried different drinks and entrees, and were very satisfied with everything that we chose. Dora did a great job of pointing out highlights on the menu.

                                                      Housekeeping was polishing the floors next to us. It was super loud and annoying while I was trying to have a business conversation. Also, didn't they used to validate for valet parking?

                                                      It was my first time at narrative. I read the reviews and was excited to try it out for my friends and my birthday dinner. We arrived early for our reservation at 6:30 and were seated immediately. We had Dora as a server, and she was very informative on gluten-free and steered us in the right direction when ordering drinks. Unfortunately, it took about 25 minutes to get our drinks. We got our apps first and the burrata with GF bread and artichoke, which tasted amazing. We put in our food order and finished our apps. The time between the apps and the main course was around 45 minutes. We were genuinely surprised with how long it took to see the portion size. I ordered the short rib, and the flavor was delicious. But it was around three large bites, it was not warm, and there was one singular bok choy on top. Someone else in our group got the filet, and it was underseasoned, and everything tasted burnt. Overall, it was an underwhelming experience. Our server, Dora, seemed to be spread thin, running around the entire floor. She still treated us well.

                                                      Very disappointed. We have been to Narrative several times and always enjoyed it. We brought out of town guests for brunch and had a frustrating experience. There were a couple of large tables and we are always understanding of that but the service was incredibly slow and inattentive. Our second server seemed to understand how we were being neglected and offered to comp us an order of mini donuts for the table. Very nice. 2 of 4 of our orders were wrong (as in ham in a “no ham” omelette) and took forever to correct. When the check finally came, we were charged for the donuts. We were so over it we just paid it and left. Not sure if/when we’ll go back. There was even a dog in the dining room (very obviously not a service animal) getting more service than us. Really disappointing….
