Dubbed a “perfect destination for summer dining” by The New York Times, Montauk’s favorite beachfront restaurant Navy Beach is a laid-back, family-friendly waterfront venue offering a memorable dining experience in a beach setting with casual coastal cuisine and breathtaking sunsets. Positioned on a 200-foot private beach, Newsday named it on of the top five water view dining spots on the East End. Boaters are welcome to anchor in the protected waters of Fort Pond Bay (41° 02′ 45.11″N, -71° 57′ 44.88″W), which was once occupied by the US Navy, and where two Navy piers are still part of the water landscape.

We reopen Friday April 29th for the 2016 season! Please call or check our website calendar for our early and late season hours. From then until mid June we will be open several days a week. From Mid June through Labor Day we are open 7 days a week for Lunch at 12pm and Dinner at 5:30pm

We got there early and were seated early, the waitstaff was perfect the food was delicious. The view was beautiful. We plan on going back again and again, even though we live an hour and a half away.

I had set a lunch reservation 2 days previous to our arrival. The reservation was for 12:30 & we arrived @ 12:15. The restaurant was packed due to the World Cup final. Right @ 12:30 we were escorted to a very clean white picnic table that was decorated with fresh flowers & facing the ocean. The waitresses was lovely along with the service being top rate. Food was delivered quickly & was perfect. We had a couple of cocktails & sat for a bit after we finished our lunch with NO pressure from anyone to move along. Can't beat the ambience (ocean) along with local area. Cannot wait to return.

Had 8:45pm reservations on a Thursday night. The vibe was very different than last time we visited- not family friendly, but club-like. There was a long line to use the ladies room. As soon as we sat down the server immediately announced that the bar was super busy and getting mixed drinks would take awhile so we ordered wine. He then stated that a bottle of wine would be quicker and easier because he could grab it himself. We took his advice, not knowing the bottle of rosé would cost $50. The only glassware provided for the wine were clear plastic cups. Right before our meals were served it was announced that there were only two swordfish left (we ordered three). One member of our party, not wanting to be difficult, changed her meal to salmon. A moment later everyone at our table was served except for the person who ordered salmon. We complained how rude it was to serve everyone at the table except for one person. Five minutes later the salmon was brought to the table. Even though the sunset and ambiance is fabulous, the service has gone downhill. Definitely not up to Montauk dining standards. Very disappointed.

We went on a Thursday night. The restaurant was pretty much empty. Our server barely came over to refill our waters. The food was terrible. The scallops were extremely sandy and my husband got the chicken which was in a puddle of grease. I am expecting and wanted a ginger ale..it cost $5 a glass. For the price you pay you would expect excellent food and service, but sadly we didn’t receive either.

The Navy Burger, the calamari and fried chicken are a must. Have a bottle of rose and enjoy the magnificent view. Amazing service. Domingo is the best!! Great time always!
