An exciting new restaurant based in the heart of Naas, Co. Kildare. This is, as its name suggests, a neighbourhood restaurant — somewhere to relax and enjoy creative and delicious, flavour-driven, produced by previous Bib Gourmand achieved Head Chef Gareth Naughton and his team, and drinks in an elegantly easy-going setting. We aim to source and produce everything possible, right here in Ireland.

    From the welcome at the door to the friendly engaging staff who are knowledgeable on the various dishes and wine selections to the good bye when leaving everything about neighbourhood makes it more than a meal out it’s an experience

    Delicious food and beautifully presented. Staff were very welcoming, polite and knowledgeable. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Neighbourhood and we'll be back.

    Delicious meal and great service. Chateaubriand was perfect and the guinea fowl was also excellent. Highly recommend!

    Menus not explained on the website at all. Christmas lunch and dinner menu advertised. Arrived at 14:00 to a menu full of eggs. We’re here for lunch not breakfast that’s not even brunch that’s literally just breakfast. 5/6 people served and waited another 5-10 minutes for the last person at our table to be served. 4/6 people got steak and eggs and 3 came the same, one came sliced for some reason? Chips were €6 as a side, literally a little cup of skinny fries. For €6 each?! Mental. Service was fine, food was grand but altogether it just wasn’t great. Like honestly the weekend before Christmas and you want me to eat avocado toast and poached eggs at 2pm? Slow food and expensive sides pushed it over the edge. Haven’t been in to Neighbourhood since it first opened and I wondered why I hadn’t been in more often. Thanks for the refresher. I hate it too because I want the place to do well and a place like that is needed in Naas but if it fails I won’t be surprised.

    Main course of beef was lovely but a few of us ordered a goats cheese dish which was awful, almost inedible. Staff are attentive and very well trained and I’ve always enjoyed eating there in the past.

    Food was on the whole good. Presentation was beautiful and interesting menu. Prices already high (65 for 3 courses) but many dishes had an extra 5 or 10 or 20 per person added on (steaks and scallops). All side dishes were 6 euros each and the meat dish came with such a small offering of greens that we quickly ordered more when the plates arrived. With wine (1 bottle + 1 glass average price montepulciano) and an espresso martini (totally delicious) the bill came to over 100pp which seemed very high to us for what it was. In general the food was good (especially the venison) but beans (seemed to be miniature cannellini beans) we served in a fairly tasteless sauce under the scallops, they were a trial to eat being undercooked - the scallops themselves were totally perfect. My companion had a warm chocolate tart to finish, it was divine in every sense.

    Quality food, great service. Great layout in the restaurant. Felt like we were on our own and still surrounded by people. Well worth a visit.
