Meaning “smoke” in Chorotega, the language of the indigenous people of our region, Nemare is a Latin Steakhouse that celebrates the local bounty by using artisanal ingredients from neighboring farms. Our signature grass-fed local and imported steaks draw on our Central and South American heritage with curated dishes and flavours that create a meaningful culinary journey through the expansive continent that complement the gifts of our land.     Our experience was sub par right from the get go. The service was something to be desired. Dirty dished not cleared from table Under cooked food Had to ask to get anything like drinks, desserts, etc. Our worst experience at all restaurants we went to during our 11 nights. We expect better and I hope they do as well in the future.

    Everything was great! The vibes, the food, the service. 5/5 stars. Kids under 5 eat free which was a huge plus. A bit pricey but still amazing.

    My filet minion was delicious. I would say it was more of a NY steak thick cut than a filet, but the seasons and sear were beautiful. Others loved the mahi-mahi (LARGE portion- could easily split) and ribeye. Recommended wine was excellent. Sides: Mac and cheese were okay, mashed potatoes were thinner than in the US, but they were tasty, and grilled asparagus was fantastic. I got the "choco coco" for dessert, and it was a bowl of some crunchies with a bit of chocolate pudding and a bunch of whipped cream; it was pretty to look at but not worth the price. Ask for an adult version of the vanilla sundae instead.

    We had a lovely evening at Nemare last night. Paul our server was top notch and his recommendations were spot on. The food was delicious, the service was attentive but not hovering, the setting was beautiful.

    I think the previous review that I did was for Meso restaurant. My mistake. Freddy was an excellent server with good recommendations. The scale and design of the restaurant was very impressive and the drinks within the bar were very good as well. It was a wonderful, dining experience!

    If you are steak lover, this is your place.  Both the fillet special and the wagu burger were amazing. The seafood was a little less exciting. The smoked asparagus side is a definite try.
