This lively steakhouse in the center of Buckhead has been voted “Best Steakhouse” 13 years, by Jezebel Magazine readers’. New York Prime has been a sought after hot spot for any night out, thanks to the lively bar and USDA prime-only menu. From barrel cut filets to top-of-the-line cooking techniques, every detail counts at this powerhouse, old-school steak joint, but what sets them apart further is their courtyard dining space and private room.     Our dinner experience was very good. Great steak and very nice apple/walnut/endive salad. Not a busy night, but server was in a hurry, which was a small annoyance. On balance, much better meal than several competing chop houses have recently provided, and a bit more economical. Nice cocktail and wine selection.

    Excellent in every aspect! Justin, our waiter was amazing, attentive, and provided us with kind and professional service. We immensely enjoyed our meal: Tomahawk steak, broiled lobster tails, loaded bake potato, Broccolini, onion rings, and crab cake. Every dish was prepared to perfection and was delicious. We will certainly be back.

    Service was superb (thanks Ms Brandy) but both steak and veg burnt beyond searing. And no, you can’t magic away by saying it was your famous sear. It was charred beyond being pleasant. I’ve had better food for 1/4 of the price. The music was unnecessarily loud, making conversation near impossible at anything other than a shout. I would not return nor recommend.

    The food was great and the atmosphere was nice, but the service was incredibly slow. It took more than 25 minutes after we sat down just to get water, and when we asked for the check it was more than 30 minutes until it was dropped off at our table. It might be due to them being understaffed, because the server was nice during the rare moments when we got to see him.
