Luxury takes root in the heart of Austin at Nido, bringing the charm of the area together with the culinary techniques of coastal Europe, all perched above Lady Bird Lake and the energetic cityscape.

Nido is located on the rooftop of The Loren at Lady Bird Lake - recently named by Conde Nast Traveller and Travel & Leisure Magazine as "one of the hottest hotel openings in the world." Nido nods to the surrounding and native Hill Country, giving diners a one-of-a-kind respite to experience worldly-travel through food. Nido’s selection of carefully crafted, seasonal menus are internationally-inspired with a focus on classical technique.

Reservations are available for inside the dining room and the dining tables in the bar. Lounge seating is available on a walk in basis in the bar and on the terrace for drinks and snacks.

    Poor service. The waiter wasn’t attentive. We waited a while for him to check in or ask if we needed anything. The food was good! We were cells hired, which the waiter never acknowledged even thou it was mentioned specifically in the reservation. It was unusually cold temperature-wise and somewhat dark inside.

    Lovely atmosphere with pretty view of the city. Sebastian our server was warm and welcoming and relatively attentive. Our appetizer order got messed up and they comped us an appetizer. Our entree order wasn’t taken until after we were finished with apps - so there was a bit of a delay between courses. An order for a second cocktail didn’t arrive until we were done with dinner - but again, the mistake was realized and the drink was comped upon arrival. Food and atmosphere great - they have some logistical kinks to work thru. Also we were seated at sofa seating in the bar - which is not the best or most comfortable seating for anything but cocktails.

    Nido continues to shine as one of Austin's fun places to eat, drink and see the skyline of the city. The patio is great and has so much to offer on a nice day or evening. The bar is always fun. It's an easy place with valet. Be sure to try.

    The view of downtown Austin from Nido is spectacular! It is so enjoyable - day or evening. This was our 3rd time to Nido, so we understood the concept and basic menu. It was incredibly disappointing that a hotel restaurant cannot make a burger for late night (10-11 pm) dining. Do they offer room service and no burger? Ok, I will get over this one. The flatbread Antipasta was so small (maybe 4-5" diameter), it was barely shareable. A $55 short rib dinner had 1 rib. Value, no. View, yes. Go for drinks and small appetizers then eat elsewhere.

    Fantastic meal from starters to mains. The Razor Clams were so good we ordered it a second time. The Crystal Blue Prawns were very tasty as was the Octopus Carpaccio. We finished with the Lamb Ragu, which was outstanding. Service (KQ) and Sommelier (Nick) were attentive and friendly. Trenton in the bar area was great as well. We will be back when in town.

    Such a great experience! This was our first time in for my boyfriend’s birthday. The drinks were delicious. We also got the flatbread, brussel sprouts and halibut. Views were 10/10. Our server was the sweetest and even brought us out a blanket. We will most definitely be back.

    Had a wonderful dinner with friends. We had a very good sampling of the menu. Everything was great. The portion size seems small, but I left perfectly sated. The Halibut and Pork-chop were the entree stars.
