No.55 Restaurant & Bar celebrates the vast array of culture and diversity in modern Manchester to present healthy and inspiring British cuisine to our guests.

The aim of our No.55 Restaurant & Bar is simple: to bring you comforting reassurance or an adventurous experience every time you visit.

Led by our Executive Chef Tan Farrell, our expert team of chefs have carefully curated a menu which boasts an appetising selection of modern British grills, with plenty of vegan and free-from options available.

We pride ourselves on championing local suppliers who are passionate about fresh, sustainably-sourced ingredients, and are constantly evolving our menu.

With floor-to-ceiling windows allowing views of Manchester city centre throughout the day, the chic and tranquil setting of No.55 Bar presents a charming venue for your afternoon tea. Our fresh, seasonal menus feature a selection of finger sandwiches, warm scones with jam and cream and a selection of sweet treats (as well as vegan and vegetarian alternatives), which will be served with a glass of prosecco and your choice of tea or coffee.

Choice of food was very limited ,and the dishes on the menu were not organically well choosen ,so you cannot really say it is a fash food ,a burger place or a restaurant, because it seems all of that. Quality of food was poorly ,vegetables were really floppy and tastless, not fresh at all. The service was mediocre and we had to wait endless before we eat,only 3 tables were there and they had finished their meal. Expensive without reason to be. Avoid please !

The staff was great, very attentive and fast. The food was okay. Felt very dated in level of cuisine and presentation. The setting is nice and relatively quiet and comfortable.

The service was really poor because the fact of we had a Wowcher, we had 2 and they left the 2 bottles on the table at the same time to avoid come back, nobody have the details to fill a cup never in the night. And their answers really rude. Think so this Wowcher are to call people to know this place and have good time so they will be back. If you promote terrible service, no one will return. It's a shame because the place is nice and the food was good.

Nice bar area. Liked the lighting and the lay out. Also nice atmosphere. Upstairs restaurant was also very nice and relaxed. Staff were very attentive and pleasant. Toilets easy accessible and clean the lighting was also very good. All in all we had a very good experience at she hotel bar and restaurant.

Booked package with dinner included direct with hotel. Restaurant didn’t know what this included and kept referring to groupon package and then proceeded to take menu from us and gave us a separate menu which had 4/5 starters, main and desert. Prawn toast starter was tiny but the soup my husband choose was massive. Main course of gammon a little under whelming and chocolate profiteroles bland and tasteless. Service was slow even though restaurant was fairly quiet and then when asked for the bill tried to charge us again for the food even though we had paid within the room rate!

Lovely place to dine. Wine we feel was a little pricey and did not have a savigon blanc on the choices. Food was well presented,tasty and portion sizes were good. Only criticism was hubby still eating starter when they brought the second course. So he left it as main was getting cold. Regardless, we would still eat here again as it's a lovely chilled atmosphere.
