My party came on Feb 25th with a reservation for 7:30pm. Despite having a reservation, the hostess stands were clearly scrambling to find us a table. Not sure why. We waited about 15 minutes to be seated. Thought that was the end of our issues. I was wrong. Recognize this location was prepping for the upcoming Tennis match but why was half of the menu unavailable. People come to Nobu for a consistent experience. Also to not offer the one exclusive dessert that people come to your location for simply because you're "saving" it for the tournament is unacceptable. Prep your inventory for the tennis match, do not make your patrons pay for it.
We've been to the Malibu, Scottsdale, Toronto, New York and Dallas Nobu locations and the the Indian Wells location was by far exemplary of the worst service I've ever experienced. Your server Britni E constantly tried to upsell us multiples of the same entree. She came by at one point mentioning that there's a couple of rolls that no one wanted and offered to bring them to us but clarified we would be paying for them - why would we want to pay an additional amount for something none of us wanted?
The roll that we DID however order took 45 minutes to arrive and her only response was "at least you got it". Poor service. She did also bring us rolls to the table that we didn't order and when notified, just took the plate away, removed the rolls and brought the exact same plate back, half empty. I've never experienced such poor service at a fine dining establishment before in my life. Will not be returning to this location and I'm extremely disappointed in the training of the staff at this location. You guys need to take notes from other locations clearly.
