    Quality of food, service, and ambiance is always beyond expectations at Nobu Palo Alto! The entire Culinary team always goes well beyond the expected experience! Shout outs to Matt and the bar team, Taka and the sushi bar, Ryan, Marcus, Ej, and the Kitchen, the servers, and Valet guys! I've been lucky to get the same server on a few visits, unfortunately for me i always forget his name but he is amazing and always does a fantastic job! Today I was in with my cousin who has experienced multiple Nobu Locations Globally and today she mentioned the Palo Alto location is probably one of her favorites!

    Way overpriced and service was slow and inconsistent. Plus no flexibility in canceling/changing the reservation.

    We arrived with high expectations but were immediately disappointed by the ambience—it was nothing like what we had envisioned. The atmosphere felt off, and that set the tone for the rest of the evening. Once seated, they placed something on the table without any explanation. The waiter seemed rushed and pressured us to order quickly. We decided to go with a tasting menu, similar to what we had experienced at Nobu in Manhattan. However, unlike that experience, this time the waiter didn’t ask any questions about our preferences for food or fish. He simply rushed off and sent out dishes that were, unfortunately, underwhelming. The yellowtail, in particular, was a major disappointment. It was cut too thick, lacked the delicate texture expected of high-quality sushi, and certainly did not melt in the mouth. The fish across the board was stringy and subpar. There wasn’t a single dish that stood out as exceptional. Overall, this location does not live up to the Nobu standard found in New York City. I would never return, and honestly, this place should be shut down. It fails to deliver on both quality and experience.

    I expected much more from Nobu, I can’t believe the price for the quality of food. My husband and I got two rolls and they were below average the server was nice however the food took a very long time and we ordered when we first got there -disappointing,

    Loved Nobu! Excellent options for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. Food was delicious, as were the cocktails. Service was wonderful. We'll be back!

    3 of us tried Nobu for the first time. We all liked the signature Bento. We will most definitely go back there.

    It was our first time at Nobu, and we weren't sure what to expect. We were impressed by both the food, and the service. The food quality was amazing. Each dish they brought out was like a little piece of art. The flavors were varied, unique, and delicious. It was one of the most enjoyable meals I can remember. Every Nobu employee we encountered was very friendly and professional. Our server, Andy, did a great job of guiding us through the overwhelming choices on the menu. "Gonzo" Gonzales made sure our drinks were topped up, and dishes were cleared away at just the right moment, without interrupting our conversation. This is a high-end dining experience, and priced accordingly. If you love food, and want a truly amazing experience, give Nobu Palo Alto a try.

    Unfortunately, this time eating at Nobu was such a disappointment. Instructions about dietary restrictions and the order the food should come out in was not followed—it took 5x longer for our sushi to come out than our cooked meat. And some of the food was “off” this time—something that has never happened before. Our server was accommodating and removed the problematic items, but we’re really questioning if and when we’ll be back to give it yet another chance.
