   The waiter was so helpful they were very helpful with the food choices . Even surprised us with delicious desserts i definitely recommend for a date night or anything festive or casual.

   I dined at Noka for the first time on Friday to celebrate the completion of my PhD. Everyone was so friendly and there was even a “congrats” sign waiting on the table. Food was phenomenal and my server, whose name I can’t recall, was friendly and warm and provided great suggestions! Atmosphere was funky upscale (in the best way) but not in a way that was intimidating. I was celebrating with my parents and while the noise level was fine with me, it was a bit loud for them. Granted it was 7pm on a Friday night so we knew what we were getting into. Wonderful time all in all and I will be back - especially for that sushi donut!

   This was our third or fourth time dining here and unfortunately, we were really disappointed in the service this time. The food was all so good but the service is going to deter us from dining here again. We were seated for our 9 pm reservation and it took 20+ minutes before someone came and took our drink orders. Then a waitress noticed we weren’t helped yet and comped our first round of drinks. We asked for 4 dirty martinis on their menu that come with a side of chips, none of ours came with them and then felt bad for saying anything since she comped them. The first few food items came out super fast and we have no complaints related to that but as time went on, we felt like we were being rushed out of there. Plates were taken before we were done and we wouldn’t be asked if we were done or we said we were still working on something and they waited at our table until we took the last bite so she could take the plate. We were so confused and they weren’t even busy since it was getting closer to closing time.

   First time visit. Food was exquisite! Suzuki Crunch was the bomb!! The atmosphere was trendy and peaceful. The door to enter the restaurant was a challenge. It would be interesting to look at security tape to see people navigating entering the restaurant the first time. It may be good for a few laughs.

    This was our first time to Noka and everything was fantastic. The salt and pepper calamari was tender and cooked very well, for our entrees we had the miso cod and the filet. The miso cod was one of the best dishes I’ve had in Kansas City in some time! We had the brownie for dessert and it melted in our mouth. So good! Will definitely be back. Highly recommend!
