Located off of Sand Lake Road, along the city's famed "Restaurant Row", NORMAN’S was recently voted BEST Restaurant in the 2024 Readers Choice Dining Awards by Orlando Magazine. Also named as the TOP Florida Restaurant in 2024 by Southern Living Magazine!

Norman Van Aken is a restaurateur, chef, author, and James Beard recipient of “Who’s Who in America" regarded as the “Founder” of New World Cuisine.”

Our restaurant offers a creative culinary and mixology experience, including an extensive wine list. We offer our main dining room, two private dining rooms, and our interior bar/lounge. Our elegant, covered Terrace offers alfresco dining, with live music on Friday nights, & a DJ on Friday/Saturday.

HAPPY HOUR: Every Day 5:00- 7:00PM, $10 Cocktails, $8 wines by the glass & various Tapas creations.
DRESS CODE:
Dining Room: Smart Casual/ Smart Dress (jackets are not required)
Terrace: Resort Casual/ No baseball caps, gym apparel, tank tops, or flip flops

It was the BEST dinner experience we have ever had in a long time. Our server was amazing, the bar tender was super kind in helping us choose our wine. The food was EXCELLENT. The music was perfect. Great ambiance! Definitely 5 starts to the chef! Definitely coming back!

You get what you pay for. Every member of the staff, from the valet to our servers were absolute top notch. Every dish was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Even the music from their live performer on the outdoor terrace was excellent. Will 100% return

We celebrated Valentine’s dinner here, and every moment was exceptional. The drinks, appetizers, and entrées were all exquisitely prepared, showcasing a delightful blend of flavors. The service was impeccable—from the warm welcome at the door to the attentive care provided by our server. Even though I hadn’t reserved an outdoor table, they kindly accommodated us, making the evening even more special. I would definitely return for another memorable dining experience.

Plates are too small, a little too unique, chicken dish. I had a small amount of actual breast and mainly was just a chicken wing

I’ve been here a couple times now and the food was not as good for our second visit. Our waiter, Johnny was fantastic though it would’ve been good if he’d asked us how our entrées were since my surf and turf lobster was kind of chewy rather than being moist and tender.

We arrived for our reservation at 8 PM on a Thursday. The restaurant was EMPTY but the "only thing available" was a high top at the bar. The seats are uncomfortable, the foot bar on the bench seating so low as to be nearly unusable. There was food splatter on the wall adjacent to the table. Service was very spotty, couldn't tell whom our servers were. Appetizers: The she-crab soup was acceptable with a lot of crab. The yucca stuffed crispy shrimp was fair but uneven, with one shrimp almost tasting like cleanser. We both had the Yellowtail Snapper. The fish was totally tasteless and unseasoned, we asked for salt, which helped, some. The "garlicky" mashed potatoes may have been potato buds. The asparagus (not broccoli) was the best part of the entree but some was charred, not crisped. The Matcha Basque Cheesecake was fair, but the menu doesn't specify that it arrives with the exterior charred dark brown - which is interesting but not necessarily good. The filling is more creamy than a standard cheesecake and may not be to your taste. The Valentine's Day dessert special was the best part of the meal, the heart-shaped mousse was very good. We cannot recommend this restaurant.

My husband and I came here for our anniversary dinner and we were not dissapointed. For our starter, we had the blue crab beignets and the pulpo al ajillo. Both were delicious but our favorite was the pulpo al ajillo. It was perfectly tender and so flavorful. Our Main course was the filet mignon and the snapper and we were so happy with it all. Thank you Haley for being so kind and being so helpful as our server for the evening
