I’ll keep this brief. Here is my summary:
1.Food: The food was okay overall. The steak was not cooked to the requested medium temperature and arrived cold, which was disappointing. However, the potatoes and carrots that accompanied the steak were excellent. The yuca with shrimp was a standout and highly recommended. My wife’s truffle mashed potatoes were delicious, while the fish was just okay. For dessert, the choco flan was excellent. While there were highlights, the overall food experience was average.
2.Service: The biggest issue for us was the service. Although it was a busy night, we waited far too long for our drinks to arrive. After finishing our first course, no one came to clear the dirty plates, which remained on the table for an extended period. My wife had to take my water because hers was never refilled, and there was no replacement offered. Additionally, there was no follow-up from our server to check on us or provide updates on our meal. The server seemed unhappy or stressed, which negatively impacted the experience.
The hostess who greeted us was very friendly, which we appreciated. However, for the price point of this restaurant, we expected much better service. We frequent other establishments such as Knife & Spoon, Ruth’s Chris, Capital Grille, Capa, and Kress Chophouse, and have never experienced service issues like this.
Unfortunately, the subpar service made our Christmas Eve dinner a disappointment and far from what we had hoped for.
