Everyone has a favorite dish at North. Every day, our Chefs start from scratch to create handmade pizza and pasta using only the best ingredients to craft inspired dishes from the garden, farm, and sea. North defines the standards for handcrafted Italian. We showed up after getting the reservation on open table. They asked if it was a special event. I said birthday. Not sure why they asked as it made no difference. We have celebrated my wife's birthday there for several years now. I have even gone the extra mile and ask for the manager to compliment the staff. Not this year. 1. Service was very slow 2. We got our food and were still waiting for a glass of wine. Finally got it after we asked. 3. Need to recover the upholstery in their booths. Thread worn and stained. 4. My wife and I were ready for a nice dinner out but ending up being very disappointed by North Italia in Plano. This restaurant has seen it’s better days. The evening was a mixture of a wedding party that felt the need to continually make loud toasts on one side and smelly people in tee shirts and baseball hats on the other side. We were fortunate enough to be seated at a 2 top inches away from the table next to us where we listened to a father and mother tell their daughter how God would want her to live her life. And on the other side was a huge booth that would fit 6 but a young couple sat and only ordered an entree each and then spent the whole night looking at their phones. We were fortunate enough that the father, mother and daughter on the one side talking about how the daughter should live her life were replaced by four girls that I'm assuming we're in high school. They changed the conversation to how one girl's mother pays for everything that she wants to do to overcompensate for the fact that she's divorced from her father. And all this is occurring while my wife and I are trying to have a nice evening. The waitress was overly pushy and wanted us to finish our meal as quickly as possible. Every time she would come to the table she was clearly irritated that we were not eating faster. And when we did finish our dinner, she then disappeared for an extended period of time while we waited for our bill. The food was not bad, but to be honest with you if you're looking for Italian food there are a lot better restaurants in the area that serve better Italian food. I am so disappointed and astonished that the Hostess did not notice that our reservation was through OpenTable and seat us at a better location in the restaurant with a better server. This place is in serious need of new management, staff and a dress code.請問這對你有幫助嗎？

North Italia is usually one of our favorite restaurants. This year it was not listed that there would be a required menu of $70 per person vs the full menu like last year. They crammed us in a table that was obviously in the way of a normal walkway and service was rushed. Will not be back for a long time請問這對你有幫助嗎？

It’s hard to find good Italian food. - Zucchini Chips were flimsy with a mild flavor 1/5 - Calamari was tasty. The batter was especially good. 4/5 - The Cesar salad was dry and could've easily been mistaken for a salad bought at the store. 1/5 - Mushroom pizza was tasty but over priced. For $21 you can get a better pie at Pie Tap or Pizzaria Tessa. 3/5 - Ricoota Covatelli was decent. Nothing stood out about this dish. Pretty sure it was the most expensive item on the menu. The dish was in desperate need of some fresh herbs and seasonings. 2/5 - we also had two desserts but I can't remember their names. One was a beignet and the other was a sponge cake. Both were good. 4/5 Everything listed cam out to $130 before tip. This felt like a basic chain restaurant. The calamari and the desserts stood strong amongst an otherwise forgettable meal.請問這對你有幫助嗎？
