Set right on the water, Northerlies is Airlie’s favourite beach bar offering a unique experience filled with island vibes, casual brasserie-style dining, spacious event areas, creative cocktails, and plenty of beach for the kids to explore. Their free courtesy bus runs 7 days a week offering private pick-ups from Airlie Beach, Cannonvale & Jubilee Pocket. Book your next event and celebrate beach-side.

The Brasserie kitchen is open 7 days. Lunch is served from 12:00pm- 2:30pm and dinner from 5:00pm-8:30pm (Fri & Sat) then 5:00pm - 8:00pm (Sun - Thu), with our 'smalll bites' options available all day. The weekend Beach Kitchen is open on for dinner on Fridays, lunch & dinner on Saturdays, plus lunch on Sundays. Unfortunately, no dogs allowed as we are located on a wildlife reserve.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Staff very nice and polite. Courtesy bus was great and both bus drivers were amazing. Would definitely go to the restaurant again when we are back.

Beautiful placement, beautiful lay out and great service. The vibes are family friendly but also fun and laid back. Food and cocktails were average. Be wary of ordering the steak. Partner and I ordered $50 steaks and the cut was mainly fat and asked for medium-rare and it was cooked rare. Highly recommend booking in advance because it can get busy :)

Our group of four started with some delicious cocktails and sweet potato chips and just chilled for a while enjoying the live music and great atmosphere. After a second round of drinks where we sampled more of the great cocktail selection we moved onto Beer battered fish and chips, spaghetti bolognese and fettuccine carbonara. All the food was wonderful, as we have always found it to be, and the service was friendly and efficient. Northerlies is our go to spot for a great meal and a lovely afternoon/evening whenever we are visiting Airlie Beach.

Location, location, location! views for days. The food was exceptional and the cocktails to die for. The bus picked us up from our hotel and dropped us off. The only thing I would make mention of is that pherhapes the staff could on occasion let people know when the next bus is leaving - we were told it runs every 45 min up until 3 O'clock when they then have 2 buses every 30 min. On heading out I asked when the next bus was leaving, they politely checked and said 25 min or so, so we stayed for a drink and headed out to wait for the bus - with 10 min to spare. it arrived 30 min later then we were informed and it was HOT! They do have a buss shelter, but it was cooler under the trees. I would like to see some sort of notice board or clock or even a notice over the speaker, as to when the next bus is leaving, as its so easy to get lost in the views. Highly recommend a visit.

Siamo stati due volte nella stessa settimana: il cibo è semplice e autentico, buono e solo leggermente più costoso di posti similari. Il problema é il servizio, molto deludente. Essendo Italiani abbiamo sempre preso il tavolo il più tardi possibile (tardi per modo di dire: 19.45) ma entrambe le volte mente mangiavamo, quindi verso le 20.15, si sono messi a sbaraccare tutto spostando tavoli a fianco a noi, facendo molto rumore… insomma non é certo cosa fare mente della gente mangia, facendo rumore (molto) e facendola sentire di troppo.

This booking had so much potential I booked for 8pm on an evening and arrived the free bus for 8pm and the place was clearing up and packing up for home. What a waste of a journey. We spent more time on the bus than in the restaurant. If booking please note this is a day event and do ignore the leaflet saying open till late because it certainly isn’t. The food is average but that might be what we ordered. The place looked beautiful if it wasn’t dark.
