You enter an old courtyard typical of Milan and, going over a dance school, as if wrapped in a dream, after a few steps, you find yourself in a beautiful terrace, a corner hidden among the ancient buildings of Milan. This is Cooking Notes: a Trattoria of the past where you can spend pleasant lunches and dinners in a cozy, romantic place, surrounded by Chopin's notes and pampered by the unmistakable taste of Italian cuisine of the past, between craftsmanship, simplicity and genuineness. Si entra in un vecchio cortile tipico di Milano e, andando oltre una scuola di danza dopo qualche gradino, ci si ritrova in una splendida terrazza, un angolo nascosto fra gli antichi palazzi di Milano. Questo è Note di Cucina: una Trattoria di una volta dove trascorrere piacevoli pranzi e cene in un luogo accogliente, romantico, avvolti da note di Chopin e coccolati dal gusto inconfondibile della cucina italiana.

Pietro, what can I say. He’s great. We discovered the place on our arrival in Milan. And had to go back the nite before leaving. Amazing food, a wine we enjoyed and a service that made us smile. Aren’t we all happy when the food is delicious and the service is great. Attention to details goes a long way. Thank you Pietro for 2 amazing meal experiences, we go back to Canada with great memories. See you again.

every time we return, the experience is always excellent. good, plentiful dishes. definitely worth trying. I recommend trying the pasta, among the best in Milan. See you next time

When we arrived 5 minutes EARLY for our reservation at 9:30 pm, the host told us they were closed and refused to seat us. Have had delightful meals here in the past but will never go back.

The restaurant is hidden in an alley off the main road but we’ll worth the trip. Beautiful setting and awesome food. Our party of 8 was overwhelmed with how great the food was and the reasonable cost. Don’t miss this place. The owner Massimo was great as well. Only negative is the mosquitoes that come out as the suns sets. They do have citronella spray on the table but be prepared.

If you want to sit in a breeding ground for mosquitos this is your place. The service was absent of any continuity. The food lacks what makes Italy beautiful. Week old discount grocery store ingredients combine to make a subpar experience. One could find a better cuisine experience at a French Guyana prison. However, the only female that works there is an absolute sweetheart. She’s the only saving grace.

Very nice surprise to find this restaurant on my quick visit to Milan. Good food and good service. Of note, If smoking bothers you, may want to ask to be seated away from the staircase where visitors take their smoke breaks.

First night in Milan found them with an internet search. Restaurant was a bit hidden which added to the charm. Excellent food and service. The only downside, people smoke on the patio and it can be unpleasant for non smokers. Loved the steak with Parmesan sauce and tartufo, my husband loved the carbonara. Just delicious
