Being from out of town, we looked on line and found that this place would be serving brunch on Mother’s Day and we had the option to make a reservation. Normally they don’t open until noon but our reservation was for 10:30am. Additionally, being new, they were not notified about the reservation that we made. Although they were open, We were the only patrons in the restaurant. The manager quickly reacted by calling in the chef and bar tender and offering us a couple of free appetizers if we wanted some. We declined. He served us some water and took our drink order. The Chef and Bar Tender soon came in behind him apologizing for the inconvenience and took our food order. They don’t normally serve pancakes but my 93 year old mother insisted that was what she wanted so Chef made it happen. My brother ordered the salmon and my husband the steak while I ordered Chilaquiles. Everything was more than delicious. The Chef knows his stuff and the bartender served my mother a hot chocolate (again not on menu) as she requested. They even gave us a discount because of the hiccup. The restaurant part is small and elegant and in the front part of a poker and cigar room, however, you would not even notice them unless you look for that part of the facility. Overall, we were not disappointed and not only recommend it but will return when we visit my mother again. Thank you for a beautiful, quiet and delicious Mother’s Day. You made all of us very happy and satisfied.
