Lavender was our waiter! He was great and amazing personality. Very knowledgeable about the menu and made my birthday dinner feel really special.

We were soooo excited to try out Nuri Steakhouse. Sadly, we were soooo disappointed with the overall experience. The bar/ bartenders were great. It’s a little smaller bar than I had imagined, but Roger made some great martinis. Once we sat down, we requested our waiter to have Roger make another round of the same martinis. Our second round was nowhere near as good as the first even though we requested Roger make them again. On to dinner, the dumplings and the lobster were the big let-downs. The dumplings were doughy and the meat was undercooked/ raw. Our wives had to literally spit them out upon first bite. The lobster was underwhelming. The strip steak was good, but nothing special in the scheme of Dallas steakhouses. The winner of the evening was the Korean Gumbo…. Delicious. Service was good, not great. They still seem to be working out the standard operating procedure. We skipped dessert and opted for espresso martinis. Tasty. Restaurant is gorgeous, and it should be considering the budget. That said, cannot ever imagine a Michelin Star adorning this establishment.

Food was very good and service was efficient. The atmosphere was lively and festive. The Hamachi ceviche was the best I’ve had and would recommended it. The Crab cake appetizer was excellent and had little to no filler. Totally recommend that. The steaks were what I’d expect, not better or worse than any other steak house in town. Kimchi fried rice and Brussel sprouts were excellent. The sides really stood out.

Exceptional overall. VERY pricey. Felt a bit rushed but it was Christmas Eve and we were a little late. Still… Love the sommelier! Emperors cut was delicious. Cooked perfectly. Enough for a table of 5. Caviar service pretty good but stingy with the blinis. Brussels sprouts with gochujang, DELICIOUS. Soy minionette for oysters- not my favorite. Broiled oysters, a sad miss. May make this an annual Christmas Eve event. It will take all year to save for it. But what fun!

There are better steakhouse options and better dining experiences. Would not recommend this restaurant to friends/family. Service was poor. Serving sizes were good. The fried rice was extremely salty and the steak was bland. Octopus was excellent. We had a 6:30 reservation and there were menu items that were already sold out - which is inappropriate for a restaurant that opens at 4pm and wants to be held to a high standard. Staff needs better training. Our table asked for still water when we sat down and ended up being charged for 3 water bottles. The waitress would pour the water out of bottles but the bottles were not at our table and we watched her serve multiple tables with the same bottle. Zero confidence in the waitress keeping track of who drank what in her section. A different member of the staff noticed our glasses were empty and then would pour our glasses with still water from a generic tin which apparently was “house” water. “House” water is complimentary. The waitress never presented our table with “house” water as an option.

I had the pleasure of dining at Nuri, and it was nothing short of amazing! The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish exceeding expectations. The staff provided excellent recommendations that perfectly complemented the flavors and ambiance. The atmosphere was vibrant yet cozy, creating the perfect setting for a memorable meal. Special shoutout to Gideon, our server, who truly elevated the experience with his friendly demeanor, attentiveness, and deep knowledge of the menu. If you’re looking for a place that offers great food, exceptional service, and an unbeatable atmosphere, Nuri is the place to go. I can’t wait to return for a third time!

For this week’s Friday Date Night (and birthday celebration) with my wife, we went to Nuri for the first time, and it certainly won’t be our last time. Even for DFW’s very high steakhouse standards, this restaurant is just spectacular. Valet parking was quick and efficient, they appear to actually hold a reservation (for all you Seinfeld fans out there), bartenders were conversational/helpful, the steaks were cooked to perfection, and our server (Eli) was extraordinarily professional. Welcome to DFW Nuri.
