Join us for Valentine's Day with a 4-Course Prix Fixe menu for $115/person! Menu offerings will include Oak & Reel staples as well as a few special dishes to choose from. Kindly note that our à la carte menu will not be available. A $30 deposit per person is required to secure your reservation and will be refunded upon your arrival. The full balance will be due at the conclusion of your meal. To receive a refund of your deposit, cancellations must be made by Friday, February 7th. Fisher Theater Guests: We will have a 3-Course menu available for reservations arriving between 5:00-5:30pm to ensure you're able to make it to your show on time. Please let us know when making your reservation.

Our second time visiting. Again, excellent. I believe it’s one of the best in the Detroit area. The appetizer selections were outstanding with a unique twist to every selection. I believe the uniqueness of the dishes is what stands out here. I also believe that having a parking lot is a value add for me. It makes it so much easier and painless to go to oak and reel knowing you don’t have to deal with parking or a valet. The meals and wine pairings were superb. A wonderful meal and overall experience.

We split the prix fixe menu and added Brussels sprouts. It gave us a wide variety with plenty to eat Delicious! Cocktails were yum.

Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful staff/servers. We went for the four course prix fixe menu and were truly surprised at the generous portions we got each course. Warning - pace yourself and save room for dessert! I enjoyed the fritto misto first course; others at my table loved the crudo. The bucatini was delicious; others enjoyed the gnocchi and the casarecce. One couple split the orata and cleaned their plates; my husband and I each got the chicken and there was so much of that that we each took home leftovers. Dessert indulgences included chocolate, semifreddo and olive oil cake - all wonderful. Because everything was delicious, nicely presented, not rushed, I can (mostly) justify the expense. We did not get out of there inexpensively and we do not drink (ok, one cocktail, one iced tea, and two sodas). I know that many folks love this restaurant for their wine pairings and other beverages.

We had a wonderful dining experience. Our meals were excellent and the Olive Oil Cake and Coffee Gilotti were delicious. The wait staff was outstanding. Our seating was perfect! Thank you.

Overall, nice but for the value I would expect more. Check, moving to the next option. Don’t feel the need to return.

Took my husband here as a treat for his birthday. Everything was outstanding. While menu prices are generally up there, we were allowed to split the 4 course tasting and that was great: neither one of us could have eaten that much solo (we were both stuffed by the time we got through it), it allowed us to try several things on the menu (which we wanted to do, because there were so many things on the menu that sounded so interesting and appealing), and we didn’t completely break the bank. Our server was wonderful - friendly, prompt and informative. Neighborhood was quiet and interesting (next Corktown if you ask me) and there was a private parking lot for the restaurant. Thoroughly enjoyed our experience!

This was our second time dining at Oak & Reel we dined over a year ago so we were excited to return! Pros: Our Server Ashley was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu she took her time, there were a few selections that changed on the menu since our last visit and that happens with menus. Our table busser was even great and I tipped him on my way out the door. Our salads were divine, so fresh and flavorful! My Fiancé loved his fish dish and sweet potato desert! My spritzer nonalcoholic beverage was refreshing! I absolutely loved the Olive Oil Cake! Cons: It’s important to note that we fine dine weekly for date night and lately we’ve been eating at the Open Table Icon Restaurants. My meat selection was the dry aged ribeye steak, I ordered it medium well. Unfortunately, it arrived to the table more well done than I prefer. I alerted Ashley and she said that to make another would take some time ( if I wanted another one) and I asked what would be faster (because we were nearing the end of our dining experience) she graciously suggested the pan seared scallops ( note they were tasty when they promptly arrived). As soon as Ashley left, a woman ( who name luckily or unfortunately escapes me) approached our table and introduced herself as “ The General Manager” and she went directly to addressing steak temperature being correct by explaining that they took the steak into the back and “in the light it’s definitely more pink than I probably can see due to the restaurant lighting”. She then proceeded to ask if I would like to come back to the kitchen to see it. At this very moment, I knew that the “The General” did not handle this situation properly. I was appalled to say the least. I’m not a culinary expert, but I’m definitely a customer service “expert” considering that I’ve trained thousands of casino and hotel employees in a customer service training program…and this was not championing a situation it was more like harassment of a guest. I’ve never heard o
