An institution in the coastal hub of Gladstone, the Grand is the ideal meeting place for a casual drink and snack. Serving crowd-favourite draught beers on tap, as well as an excellent selection of Australian and New Zealand wines and cocktails, patrons are invited to pull up a stool and take a load off after a long day of work or night out with friends. Light bar snacks are also available, with the option for a full meal at the Oak & Vine bistro next door. The federation décor is reminiscent of the pub’s 19th-century origins, with wide glass windows allowing for a relaxed ambience while watching the world go by on the streets outside.

Last minute booking due to the motel having its restaurant closed at xmas. The young waitress was very pleasant and our meals were delivered hot and quite quickly. Will be staying at their hotel on future visits to Gladstone.

Staff went out of their way to make me feel comfortable, adjusting the menu to allow for my preferences and the chef took the time to speak with me. The food was delicious and I will definitely be visiting again.

We went out for our anniversary, we were placed in a corner next to the toilets, considering there were plenty of tables available I thought we would be in a better area. Other than that the food was good, the beer was cold and the staff were efficient & friendly.

Hi, the ordering went well, considering there was a learner on that night. He did well. The costs of the meals were higher than expected, but the meals were good. I think everyone enjoyed their meals.

We were there half an hour before we got drinks. Had to go to the bar to pay as the queue at door was so long. Then we were asked if we had paid when leaving. Where was this person all night. Not on table service I can tell you. Food was ok chips overdone

This the 2nd time we have booked for Sunday lunch and had the reservation cofirmed the day before. Both times we arrived and the restaurant was not open. I rang them and was told that they were not opening as staff were sick and that Coffee Club was open. If we had wanted to go to Coffee Club we would have booked there. They didnt even have the courtesy to contact me and let me know. We had visitors from out of town and were taking them there. Obviously they dont want our patronage so we took our business elsewhere. I emailed the Oak and Vine about the matter and so far I have had no response, obviously they dont care about customer service or satisfaction.

A very limited menu, and zero dessert options at all. Table service was more-or-less unavailable for drinks due to only having two waitstaff on. Both very friendly but clearly stretched/rushed. One thing that was noticable though, was the kitchen staff (2) however seemed to be working really well together & got all meals out in a timely manner. Everything well cooked & presented. To better the ambience: more comfortable seating, 1 extra floor staff, increase menu and perhaps the table set nicer for dinner service.

An extremely busy night with a large group in, but I could not fault the service or the food. We will definitely be back.
