Had a very bad experience. Walked in and a man who I assume was the manager asked if we had a booking. I’d booked the week before as it was for my birthday. He basically disregarded our booking and said that they had 150 football fans coming in and also weren’t serving the Sunday dinner (which I’d booked for). We weren’t told about this prior. We said we’d go somewhere else but the man said that they could still serve food and the football fans would be in the other room so we stayed. We ordered our food prior and when the football fans came in they filled both rooms. The main was good and the waitresses were lovely but it did take 45 minutes for our dessert to come and when it did, it was all burnt like it had been forgotten about. I understand that the booking would be taken as the business will get more money from them but wish we’d been told before so we could have booked somewhere else. Awful birthday meal and wont be returning

Sunday Roast was disappointing beef was tough, it was drowned in gravy, would've preferred separately, way too much red cabbage which was really soggy n not crispy, wouldn't come back unfortunately.

Couldn't find our booking, overcharged us initially, missing several items off menu on a quiet Wednesday and almost an hour wait for food

Very poor service despite venue being quiet. In the end we left after 25 minutes when no one had even taken a drinks order, never mind a food order. We found the staff to be poor and positively unwelcoming. We felt like we were a nuisance from the minute we entered the pub.

Arrived at 4pm for the mother's day special 3 course meal consisting of a roast being the main course, to be told they had already run out of roast dinners. Was sat down and our drinks where taken around 15 minutes later. Continued to be sat there for 40 minutes still hadn't been brought our drinks. There was a huge delay on the food, a delay on collecting our empty plates, table behind us where complaining, the table next to us where complaining and two people went to the bar complaining about their bill all whilst we where there. The table behind us remained uncleaned for an hour plus after they left, all round really bad experience. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Unfortunately the Oak Inn was having a bad day when we visited. Staff had not arrived in, which delayed meals to customers. Had booked the Mother's Day special but when we were ready to order all the roast dinners were unavailable and we had to choose from the normal Sunday menu meals other than roast dinners. The waitresses were most apologetic and we appreciated that it was not their fault and they were doing all they could in difficult circumstances. We will visit again on another day as the food we did receive was very good and value for money.

Very poor experience for Mothers day, waited over 90 minutes (pub was not even busy) for food that was then cooked from frozen, dry and tasteless. Very disappointing will not be returning.

Took 50 minutes for 3 starters to come, 2 of which were not what we ordered. Then took a further 55 minutes for 3 roast dinner mains to come. Food was almost inedible on the main course. Severe lack of staff, with a chef who couldn't seem to keep up, or even put food out at an efficient rate. Will be asking for money back as this was a PREPAID meal, in which we were so frustrated we left before even having dessert. Very poor, especially on mother's day where bookings were clearly taken so staff should've been prepared.

Our server was absolutely fantastic, full of energy and very attentive. The food was fantastic and came out very speedy.
