    Our server was phenomenal!! I don’t recall his name but he was from Morocco. Very attentive to our needs and efficient.

    My family and I went to Oceanair after a show for dinner. We have been many times before and thought it would be nice right before the holidays and the long drive home to grab a bite to eat together. We were greeted and offered watered and given a small tray of cold veggies and some bread. When our server approached, he told us he was working in a team with another server and to let them know if we needed anything. We were never asked if we had any dietary restrictions. The menu was not gone over with us except to highlight some “features” not listed, which was simply the server taking a fish entree adding the “Louie” enrichment and calling it a special. We started with an order of shrimp and grits for my husband and for me: 6 oysters, and a cup of soup. I had to ask if they had oysters because I wasn’t given an oyster menu when we sat down. When the apps came out, my husbands came out first, and mine arrived once he was about 1/2 way done. In my experience, everyone’s appetizers come out at the same time. Also, why would you serve cold oysters at the same time as a hot soup. The oysters should have come out first, and then the soup a second course. For dinner my husband ordered the rockfish blackened, and I ordered the Halibut with creamed corn and Brussels/bacon to share together. Neither of us were asked how we wanted our fish prepared when the menu states grilled, broiled or pan seared as options. I asked the server what was in the Brussels/bacon. His response was “Brussels/bacon and butter”. I specifically asked if there was any vinegar or honey and was told NO. When the food arrived, the halibut which was ordered pan seared was so dry and overcooked that I had to send it back. Also the Brussels definitely had apple cider vinegar as well as garlic and onions. Good thing I didn’t have an allium allergy, and again asked about the ingredients this time to be told correctly when I questioned the vinegar. Very disappointing experience. Won’t be back. Dissatisfied.

    From the time you are warmly greeted at the door, through to the baked Alaska flambe' table side, it was an excellent experience. Convenient to DC MetroRail, expect a perfectly prepared seafood dinner. The salmon and branzino we had was outstanding. Our waiter was superb. Enjoyed the complimentary olive veggie snack plate and hot sourdough. And Landrys rewards are a big plus- saved us $25!
